I thought this guy was good, but not at the level of winning Player of the Year as an 18 year old freshman and leading his team to the Final Four good.

Looking forward to how things develop for him.

I think he's ultimately a Tatum level player....which makes him a top 10 though not top 5 player. Maybe not as prolific of a go to scorer, but better facilitator and better all around defense. That's easily #1 overall pick material.

I think some of his physical dominance at the college level won't carry over as much as someone like AD, Chet or even ANT, but he should still be athletic enough.

I was and still am a huge Tatum fan.

Flagg is multiple tiers higher when it comes to level of prospect coming out of college compared to Tatum.

Flagg is much more athletic, his defense is on another tier, and his on ball shot creation is multiple tiers higher than Tatum at the same age. And facilitating it really isn’t close.

Not saying it’s a lock Flagg becomes the better player, because there are just too many variables to know. But his ceiling is much higher and is starting at a higher floor.

Flagg is 80% LeBron in his prime he has a thinner frame. Flagg has better shot creation than Tatum but is not a better shooter. Flagg is more athletic than college Tatum but not current Tatum. Tatum came a long way athletically developing himself from when he struggled making layups.

Flagg is the better shooter than Tatum at the same stage

If Steve Nash could've combined Raja Bell, Shawn Marion, Grant Hill, Boris Diaw, and Amare Stoudemire into one player, that player would've been Cooper Flagg.

A better shooting Jimmy Butler with an extra 2 inches of height, 5 to 7 inches of wingspan, and 5 to 7 inches of standing reach is my favorite comparison. Oh, and way, way longer strides.

Tatum is/was a top 4 player in plenty of seasons

I'm gone if I'm him. The performance of the team down the stretch was a joke. Bad coaching and scrubs choking.

They didn't go to him late until they were behind. They froze out the POTY.

Epic choke.

Choked when it mattered. He probably drops to 28 in the draft.

That ref should be ashamed of calling that weak foul against Flagg. Flipped the whole game... Refs shouldnt decide the game.

That was a bad call but Duke blew the game, too. Dribble off the leg, blocked layup, turnover inbounds pass and missed FT sequence just crushed them.

At least two of those plays should have been for Flagg. If it's me, all four of them are. The only one of the four that was for him was the botched inbounds.

If the coach and the teammates don't know enough to get the ball to him then, I'm personally not going back to that situation. That was a ridiculous fail.

Last time the Houston Cougars made the NCAA final, the Celtics made the NBA finals and won. I take this as a positive omen !!!
