That “he never beat a 50 win team” narrative has been gaining lots of steam as of late smh

How about never playing with an allstar?

As if Murray didn’t have one of the best playoff performances by a guard in 2023- he’s an all star talent

So you want to tell me if he didn't flop they wouldn't call a clear foul?

I didn’t say any of that. What I said was that it was a clear foul and a clear flop he literally left his feet for no reason lol

And it was also the fact that 90% of Jokic flops from previous games were fouls comitted, but smaller players shouldn't be strong enough to push him to the ground? That is why he is called floper I guess. Maybe, just maybe, if refs were calling those fouls without floping, flops wouldn't be nessesery at all.

Without an over the top camera hard to prove but I feel he's still touching.

Ref explanation has me more confused because their reasoning for basket being good was that he wasn’t touching it. You can’t tell 100% if hes touching there but from that frame id be pretty damn surprised if he doesn’t at least have a finger tip on it

The refs see exactly where the ball is on the replay and then announce that the ball is out of his hands. What you see is considered a good basket.

No way could they blow a call on where the ball needs to be to consider it good.

What's the official definition of a made bucket?

A legal field goal or free throw attempt shall be scored when a ball from the playing area enters the basket from above and remains in or passes through the net.

That’s confusing to me though. Is the basket not good until it passes through the net? If that’s the case, Gordon touching the ball even after it passed the rim but not the net yet could mean basket no good.

Passing the rim, not the net. But the entire ball has to clear the rim, not 1/4th, not half not 9/10th of the ball, but the entire ball.

If it wasn't the entire ball, those in n outs where a portion of the ball clears the rim and yanks back out would be a successful bucket.

Stills show that the entire ball has not cleared the rim with fingertips on it.

It's crazy that if this series goes 7, OKC will have 9-11 days off.

Tough for either team because Denver's lack of depth may wear them down, and the more games get packed into a short period of time, the more you have to worry about Kawhi.

Well, their Center was all the way out in the 3-point line, contesting Jokic's shot. And since both Zubac and Kawhi flew out to Jokic to contest the shot and Bogi rotated over to Murray, there was essentially a 3 vs 2 in favor of Denver on that weak side. Norman Powell momentarily checks whether there's a shooter on the wing (since there's always the thread that Jokic rifles a pass) and completely loses sight of Aaron Gordon.

Credit Aaron Gordon here. He made a heck of a play there. Also, credit Braun. His little cut did enough to occupy Harden so Gordon could get that board.

On another note, I will say that MPJ not moving a single inch in the last 5 seconds of the game was weird.

For those saying it shouldn't have counted, keep in mind that the ruling on the court was a made FG. In order to overturn, it has to be clear that the hand was still touching the ball.

Wow. Rigged AF

Wow, he is touching it. Not sure how that can count unless there's a weird rule. Seems like clippers could protest so if they don't then there must be a reasons it's good.

Curious what the rule is. Where does it need to be to be a bucket, even if he's still touching it?

Does the ball have to be past the rim? Through the net? When is it considered 'a bucket'.

It's a field goal if the ball "enters the basket from above and remains in or passes through the net."

Yea, and the way the other side of the bracket looks, I feel like that series will basically serve as the WCF.

He was amazing in 2023 and in the bubble but subpar every other season. He's only an allstar talent because he plays with Jokic. He wouldn't even be a top 10 PG if he played on any other team.

One thing I can say so far is that Zu is the most underrated player in the NBA.

So, now the question is what does the rule book says, when does it counts as time expired - when the bord starts to ligh out or when it ends to light out?
