With all due respect, Chet has good handle because he is closer to KD, Giannis length than Wemby, he is better 3pt shooter right now but he isnt the freak who is doing quick moves in the post, premiteer where great wing defender like Brooks, athletic wing like Jabari Smith didn't have a chance. He made wings looks slow with his speed, quick feet and defensively he scared away Rockets paint scoring while defending their PF on the wing. Wemby is freakishly good at Giannis like with his help defence for his rookie year.Roy T wrote:MrBigShot wrote:Roy T wrote:Chet Holmgren is the Real Wembanyama so far...

Wemby is playing a lot of minutes as the 1st or 2nd option, with no point guard on the floor, wings that miss wide open alley-oop passes, and often getting doubled when he catches inside the 3 pt line. I wish we'd start Jones and have Keldon come off the bench to take over the second unit.
Defensively, it seemed like Wemby was hellbent on not getting in foul trouble this game because there were some times earlier where he could have contested but didn't.

The European basketball community has lapped America as far as development goes in my opinion. Kids under 13 should be playing on lowered rims, yet that only seems to happen here when kids are around 5-8.

Well looking at the top NBA players, they're all currently European/non-US. And France is coming up strong with pro players in both the men's and women's game.
Hadn't considered the impact of the lower rims. Wasn't my experience growing up but that was just through school not sports specific academies.
