Celtics really needed this game at home. Gives us some buffer time to get Jaylen back.

76ers will shoot better from 3, but I can't see Bellinelli getting 16 ppg like he did vs the Heat. 76ers also have an issue with guarding Rozier's penetration. Covington can't really stay in front of him and I'm not sure who else can.
76ers perimeter D was just awful. Lot's of areas that they can easily improve.
Anyway, this one could be a nail biter.
Just praying the C's get Jaylen back for game 3/4.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Boston won.. No surprises. This is a good team. Even without Kyrie and Hayward Boston is a much better team than Miami. Anyone who thought Philly would win in 5 or easily was fooling himself. This series is going at least 6.

I expect no less. All day long. I’ll read every post on here no matter how painful.

I respect that lol, and if the Sixers win Thursday I'll be here to take it right back.

It always amazes me when fans pretend one fanbase is worse when it comes to trolling or talking trash....especially when a team brings in unnecessary things like racism and such. If you want to preach being humble you have to practice it also.

That said, too much rest and they came in with too much of a high.

How they respond in game 2 will be telling.

Hate this excuse. If the Celtics had lost people would had said they were tired. These are professional athletes for ffs

It's not really an excuse.

Too much rest can be a bad thing.

Celtics came in hot from that 7 game series. Sixers came in too relaxed.

I guess it was a dig at Eric Bledsoe and not that he really liked Drew Bledsoe - man, so bummed...I thought I found another Drew Bledsoe fan in Boston :(.

Lol salty. I'm a **** kings fan bro. I have no horse in this race I just want a good series. Rozier is balling out of his mind, and next game if philly wins by 20 then so be it. Its 1 **** game is all I'm saying, half of you are making it seem the series is over. And stop including Hayward, you guys got the 2nd seed without him all season.

Did you feel this way about Kyrie when he was the Cavs roster? I recall a lot of Celtic fans slandering his name last year with the Thomas-Irving debates.

Yawn.

Sixers are in for a world of hurt if they can't get up for a playoff game.

Awful night for our shooters but Embiid looked great. Ben needs to take better care of the ball and defensive intensity needs to be turned up a couple notches. Congrats on Game 1 Celtics fans but plenty of basketball to be played :) I suspect Thursday will play out a tad differently.

What difference does it make how he felt? The guy did average 30 points twice shooting absurd % and making one of the biggest shots in Finals' history.

IT had a better regular season last year. I said that too and I stand behind my words. But Kyrie had his best season on offense and defense in his 1st year with us. ;)

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Stevens has taken over as the best coach in the game over Pop. This is truly getting ridiculous. Hayward goes down and Boston is not supposed to make the playoffs. Then Kyrie just has his best season and the youngins play great and they were on pace for the 1st seed. Kyrie goes down then the talk turns into it will be great experience for the youngins but can't expect them to score enough without Kyrie. They win that series and Brown goes down and then the talk goes to it will be very hard to take a game or two from this Philly team especially with Brown missing a game or two, they go out and kill it in game 1.

I knew he was something special in his days at Butler, but man this is truly astonishing. Semi Ojeleye and Shane Larkin combined for 40 minutes today, one is a 2nd round rookie and the other is a dude that was cut by the Nets 2 years ago and was playing in Spain last year.

I'm almost as entertained watching his adjustments and moves he makes during a game, than I am watching the game itself.

Rozier has been playing lights out since before Kyrie went down. Philly has no one quick enough to stay with him, so they will have to make some adjustments. It would help if they still had Isaiah Canaan or Ish Smith, but they traded Canaan away and let Smith walk for nothing. Maybe Fultz can come in and play some defense on Rozier, because no one else can keep him out of the paint-- or bother his shot for that matter.
