I think the Pacers are cooked. Tonight was the game they had to win. Winning in OKC is just so tough. They barely managed to steal game 1. I can't see them doing it again

Exactly why I'm hoping for an angry Pacers win in game 5. You cant be clutch hero of the game by pushing defenders with an straight elbow and then walk back to open shots. You can't give him Feb fouls in the fricking NBA finals. Indy has still chance to win the series even with 30 points by SGA, you just have to stop roleplayers like Caruso, Jdub, Chet. Hell no Jdub and Chet are stars .

Haliban didnt come through like he has all playoffs thats the main story

7 assists to 5 turnovers. 18 points on 15 shots. He was trying to iso hunt Chet in the 4th and Chet kept getting stops.

Pacers bench showed up. All but 1 starter in double figures and playing great defense. Siakam showed up 1 of only 5 players in finals history w/ a 20,5,5,5 game and game high +13. Hali didnt show up when it mattered. Sga showed him levels in the clutch.

I can't see the Pacers rebounding from this home loss, surrendering home advantage while letting a late lead evaporate alongside the rush of imminent glory circulating the crowd for almost 48 minutes.

By pulling him? If that's what you mean I agree.

Absolutely. After he missed two free free throws and committed his first away from the play foul he needed to be removed at minimum. They still had a chance and he doesn’t strike me as the sort that regroup when things are headed in a bad direction like that
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Neismith and Mathurin were awful on both ends. On the other side, Caruso almost single handedly kept OKC close in the 3rd, he was the real MVP tonight. If it wasn’t for Caruso this is a 3-1 series lead for Indy…

Pretty similar series like Thunder - Nuggets. Thunder sold game1 when they are leading all the time. Not so choke, more amazing clutch performance by Gordon/Jokić& Nesmith/Nembhard/Hali

Game2 routinely 1-1, game3 OKC again losing tie and stealing game4 in some ugly manners, showing in crunch time, SGA with a impression.

We have good Finals, more quality and fun than predicted

The fouls aren’t even the thing tonight.

He’s allowed to push off like nobody else in NBA history is.

Then you factor in Caruso and Dort being allowed to maul people all game while nothing is allowed on the other end.

Seriously, watch Dort defend Haliburton for a possession. He slaps the **** out of his arms, he grabs him, pushes him. None of it gets called.

It’s disgraceful.

Incredible game. Shai took over like the MVP should, and OKC got stops, and a bit of luck with Pacers missed free throws (just like OKC missed crucial free throws in game 3).

2-2. This series is basically 50/50 because Indiana has proven they can win on the road.

Literally every superstar pushes off.
Jordan pushed off in 98.
Its annoying but it's basically never called, would be weird to start calling it now

There was 47 minutes before that one. The first half was the worst reffed half of basketball I may have ever seen, and the Pacers were up 3. Should have been up 20. It was clear the NBA got what they wanted.
The Pacers were winning the game when the 4th started. So how exactly do calls from the 1st half change the outcome? Let's not be a poor sport.

Plays that happen in the first half don’t affect the outcome of the game?

What an incredible take.

I guess all sorts of delusion takes are required when you root for probably the most unwatchable title contender in NBA history
It's really simple. Let me break it down for you so maybe you can get a better understanding okay bud? The Pacers had a chance to hold onto their lead in the 4th quarter and got clamped the **** down by an incredible, historic defense. The Pacers scored 17 points in that 4th quarter. They airballed 3's and missed free throws and that is why they lost the game. How'd you like that block SGA had on Haliburton? Pretty clutch showing by the Thunder there. I'm going to sleep with a smile on my face.

The Pacers missed critical free throws and SGA didn't.

"Pathetic" lol what the hell

So much SGA salt in this thread... Worst case scenario get mad at the refs if you don't think it's being called fairly. SGA is just a VERY good player (MVP in fact) trying to get his team to win in the Finals. No crimes committed

No, he intentionally hunts BS fouls and he also intentionally pushes off. Sure, the refs shouldn't reward it but that doesn't mean I have to respect SGA's nonsense. I hated that **** from Harden too. Pathetic is the only way to describe it. It's a disgraceful style of play that's disrespectful to the game. Sorry if that opinion offends you, but it's an honest one.

The opinion doesn't offend me so much as it offends the competitive spirit. True competitors will themselves/their teams to victory whatever the cost. There are so many other examples in the game- drawing fouls on the defensive end for instance. Yet people celebrate those instances as smart, gritty, etc. What SGA does is fundamentally the same thing. If you don't enjoy watching it, it's something that should be addressed with the league not the players.

 'the competitive spirit'

Please.

It's laughable to compare push offs and foul baiting to drawing charges (I guess that's what you meant by drawing fouls on the defensive end?). The first two are a perversion of the game and an offensive foul respectively. The last one is rewarding a defender for gaining position first, a legal play.
