They can't sign three max yet until they shop Beasly right? Someone isn't getting the max then.

If the cap is high enough anything is possible . Realistically if it is at 56million then Beas has to be shipped and James jones too.

Timberwolves general manager David Kahn told The Minneapolis Star Tribune that he spoke to the Heat about a deal that would have sent Beasley to Minnesota for Ryan Gomes, but the Heat was not interested because it did not want Gomes' buyout number on its cap (nearly $3 million over the next three years). Gomes was traded to Portland on draft night.

So Miami could have easily traded Beasley for cap space, as they are only 2 mil short. Its likely Riley uses Beasley in a SnT for Bosh, who has insisted he wants the 6th year.

Does that make Bosh Batgirl? LOL!

Batgirl would be a stronger post defender.

So far in the last few weeks we've heard absolute guarantees that LeBron is going to the Knicks, Miami, New Jersey and re-signing with Cleveland. He truly is super-human.

Wade by himself torched the celtics while getting double, tripple teamed...Now imagine Lebron and Bosh on the team aswell....nah Bra keep on dreaming. no team currently assembled can slow those guys together down. now when their on the bench Im sure the other team might try playing catch up! Wade would go back to playing off the ball like in the olympics and Bosh doesnt have to worry about getting double on the post cause lebron and wade are just lurking coming of screens. so yeah! even the mighty lakers are not gonna fair to well, plus Lebron+Wade+Bosh would problably keep Gasol, Bynum and artest in foul trouble the entire game!

While I am taking a wait and see approach on this on whether or not this is true, my biggest fear is the repercussions this will cause for the future of the league.

While the league is already dominated by teams who have superstars, if we starting seeing these "super-teams" that are made up of 3 max salary guys who dominate the league together, it's going to be harder and harder for small market teams to compete.

The Jazz will never be able to get this kind of combined talent in free agency, and will lose their superstars to teams who can attract these players.

If this deal works out, a few years from now you'll start seeing super trio's pop up everywhere because every superstar is going to want to be on a team that can compete for a championship, and being a superstar surrounded by role players just won't do it anymore. We'll see teams like the Magic having a line up of CP3/Durant/Dwight and the New Orleans and the OKC's of the world will be screwed.

The league is best suited to have it's superstar's spread out, the more they pair up, the worst the competition gets, and the more the majority suffers.

If you have 2 top 3 players, and 1 top 15ish player all collaborate so that their contract expires at the same time, and all team up, I don't see how that can be good for the league as a whole. I fully expect to get told I'm mad and / or whining, but I don't see how that's fair for the 25 teams that built their franchises the traditional way while a few big market east coast teams get to play routlette and decides who wins all of the titles for the next 5 years or so. Oh well

lol laker fan...you had no problem getting handed Gasol for Kwame and Javaris Crittenton...but now you're upset because someone else is getting over....

So the Heat would have a roster of:

Chalmers/
Wade/
LeBron/James Jones/Jarvis Varnardo
Beasley/DaSean Butler
Bosh/Haslem/Dexter Pittman

That leaves a pretty open roster to fill...maybe they can re-sign Ray Allen at the vet min, Steve Blake for part of the MLE ($4M/yr), Craig Smith to a $2M/yr deal with the remaining part of the MLE.

Could be an interesting team, especially if they decided to run. I'd love to see LeBron as a PF with Bosh next to him at Center. It'd be like a track event where they dunk the basketball at the end of the race.

you know that you can't use the MLE when you have cap space, right?

Oh yeah.

So basically they wil be stuck with signing vets a the minimum. Unless Bosh/Wade/Bron leave a bunch of money on the table, which I could see them doing.

If each took only $13M/yr it would REALLY help that team out.

You'd see Miami bring in veterans looking to ring chase. I could see Brad Miller, Earl Watson, Q-Rich, Kyle Korver, and many others trying to latch on...

Funny how the Lakers could never get those ring-chasers (post-Shaq). Even Boston didn't get many.
