I would say that Wade and Bosh most definitely care about winning, hence sharing the spotlight.

I would say that Bron does care about winning, else he would have gone straight to NY right off the bat, only reason he hasn't is likely because of their roster.

And if you really want to make this argument, you could still say that The Clips and even the Nets might be as suited or more to win then the Bulls, its very debatable. And the Cavs are obviously much closer winning 60+ two years in a row.

I really don't get why it is so hard for Bulls fans to accept that their team isn't that good. Bosh is better than Rose, and so is Amare. Bulls didn't have room for 2 maxes, and contrary to popular opinion the Bulls didn't have room for 2 true maxes unless they got rid of Rose, Noah, or Deng. The Bulls were never an option and were always destined to get Boozer. They traded HInrich and the 17th pick for no reason whatsoever.

Teams don't win championships, stars win championships. Kobe and Gasol won the Lakers championships, the Big 3 won it for Boston. Solid role players don't win championships outside of 2004 Detroit, and the Bulls have no superstars and only Rose can become a star.

Maybe you guys are too in drenched in it already but take it from fans of the other major American sports - they are laughing at how the hip hop image as completely gutted this league.

Off the court and selling "my product" is all that matters to 99% of the Elite players in this league. The greatest player the league has had in a decade is more concerned about being the next Jay-Z than winning titles....which I thought was the goal at the end of the day

The Bulls have mishandled almost every situation they got into under this management, they had 1st, 2nd (twice), 3rd, 4th, and 7th draft picks, they had cap space, and they still got to the playoffs only due to the collapse of Toronto Raptors, and to top all that their GM hit their coach and Bulls' owner continually lets players go to avoid tax, what's amazing is that you still consider the Bulls attractive FA destination, and blaming FAs of having misguided priority system, if it was me, I'd think really hard before committing to them.

Half the league and more disturbing most of the Elite players do not care about winning rings. This sport is more about getting paid, having a city to call your own and your sneakers sold.

Other than the Lakers, Celtics, Spurs and Magic. Who is legitimately doing all they can to win a title? They aren't. The NBA is officially more about image than product on the court. No one cares about winning championships any longer.

Which begs the question, why do I continue to use championships as a way to measure and compare the NBA all time greats? It's obvious half the league does not care about it.

MVP's > Finals MVP's > Rings

A point that doesn't really get made in all this: Wade/Bosh would have been a trainwreck in Chicago. A lineup of:

Noah
Bosh
Deng
Wade
Rose

Would be 5 solid players, but I don't see how they work together. Rose and Wade have extremely similar skillsets, Deng, while a capable 3 point shooter, is clearly more comfortable inside the arc. So, you have three wing players that don't shoot 3's and therefore, spread the floor. It'd be a talented team, but all you have to do is clog the lane and suddenly the team looks mortal.

Don't get me wrong, Chicago with Wade and Bosh would have been a damned good team. But don't pretend that its the end of basketball because Wade and Bosh weren't salivating over Rose + Overpaid Deng + Noah. The Heat are in a position to build the team from the ground up for pieces that fit better around those two.

If we really have to have this debate, The "superstar" was gonna be the free agent coming in.

Not even the Lakers could match the Bulls 3-6. Assuming they got 1 HUGE free agent and then a boozer or lee, they would be title contenders. Disagree?
