He's a great scorer and a big part of the Bulls' offense, it's just his very poor decision-making and selfish play that has disturbed me.

Clutch?

So becasue he goes like 4-18 or whatever it was and then hit a layup, then labels him "clutch"?

They needed him to be "clutch" in the first place because his terrible shooting and play put them in that situation.

If you play terribly the entire game and you come up big in final minutes, your poor performance will be excused. It is all about being responsible for your poor play and make it up for your team. Rose has done that. What more do you want him to do. He is just slumping right now. He will get out of it and start shooting better. When he does that, people better watch out

Or better yet replace boozer with a PF with a pulse.

Lets be honest if Loozer contested half his opponents shots, didn't rack up like 2 fouls before you realize the game started, miss wide open shots, fumble rebounds that bounce right in his hand, ect... then the bulls would be killing this team.

The close games have nothing to do with rose, I've seen this same story over and over again with the Jazz.

Boozer has proven to play big time in the playoffs with the right PG.

He should know he's slumping and acknowledge his current limitations. Attempted 9 threes today.

God, RealGM overreacts to any and everything. Brandon Roy has 1 good game and everyone is screaming that he's back. Rose has 1 bad game and now he's nothing more than a lesser Allen Iverson (OMG HE'S EXPOSED). The Bulls lose and everyone even Bulls fans are thinking its the end of the Bulls (OMG THEY'RE EXPOSED). Now that the Heat are comfortably up 3-0, people are now believing that they can win the championship. Jeez, the list goes on and on.

Boozer had no problem with Deron in Utah.

His numbers are down all acroos the board this year. Maybe he just needs a PG who knows how to get his teammates involved.

It is true that his shot selection has been questionable but how are you going to get out of a slump if you don't keep shooting? He is the Bulls' best offensive player and they need him to continue shooting. That's how he will get out of his slump

Paul George & Dahntay Jones. Thats why he isn't playing up to MVP standards.

If that one game is in the playoffs when it matters the most, you're bound to get some harsh criticism. And it's not just one game, it's all four for Derrick Rose. He was just excused the first couple because he made some "clutch" layups.

+1

Both CP3 and D-Will are better PGs. That's not really a knock on Rose though, he's right behind them. He's certainly a first tier superstar in this league, but he's definitely not at the level Bulls fans make him out to be (top-5 talent in the league).

I think most people had the Heat coming out of the East to face the Lakers. The Heat up 3-0 is just reaffirming that. I agree with your general sentiment but, Rose played poorly the last 2 games (G4 can be excused due to the injury G3...not so much). Both he and the Bulls need to pick it up.

Some of the stupidity in this thread is really overwhelming, even for the "what have you done for me lately" board.

"CP3 is back, Brandon Roy is back, Westbrook/Rondo is the best PG," I mean you just gotta  at this point.

If you'd take the time to watch a Bulls game or two, you'd realize that Boozer's struggles have 100% nothing to do with Rose.

Last 2 minutes of Game 1:

1:50 99-96 Derrick Rose makes layup
1:50 Roy Hibbert shooting foul (Derrick Rose draws the foul)
1:50 99-97 Derrick Rose makes free throw 1 of 1
1:27 99-99 Derrick Rose makes 7-foot jumper
1:00 99-99 Derrick Rose defensive rebound
0:48 99-102 Kyle Korver makes 25-foot three point jumper (Derrick Rose assists)
0:14 Darren Collison personal foul (Derrick Rose draws the foul) 99-102
0:14 99-103 Derrick Rose makes free throw 1 of 2
0:14 99-104 Derrick Rose makes free throw 2 of 2
0:00 End of the 4th Quarter
0:00 End Game

This wasn't clutch?

Maybe if we started someone other than Bogans at the SG and Boozer didn't get in foul trouble in the first 6 minutes every game then Rose would be able to shoot a better FG%.

This isnt a surprise. Hes takes a lot of shots and its why his TS% during the regular season was middling too.

Well, both Rondo and Westbrook are playing equally as good if not better than Rose. Plus, neither has lost a game.

And Chris Paul is far and away better than Derrick Rose. Always has been.

So you attribute coincidence to the fact that Boozer has played at a high level with an elite PG in prior playoffs, but seems incapable of finding a rhythm with Rose at the helm?

I do agree that Rose has been bad these past 2 games. And while he did have a clutch layup at the end of Game 3, he played poorly overall. He has definitely fallen hard in love with the 3 ball. He's got a fantastic midrange game, but lately he's completely replaced it with 3pt attempts, and it's definitely hurting the Bulls right now. Indiana is completely happy to give him those all day, and he takes them no matter how many he's missed. It's frustrating, because earlier this season he didn't take nearly as many. It's like the more he misses the more he tries to make up for it with the next one.

The Rose Bulls are just as real as the LeBron Cavs.

They can go to the Finals, they may fall apart in the 2nd or 3rd round. I think they get beat in the ECF. The Bulls have one of the easiest roads to the ECFs in NBA history.

These Bulls are not battle tested yet. When I watch them I think of the Jazz team a few years back that went to the WCF (Boozer, Korver, Brewer), a SF that is good, a C that is better and the best player at PG. I love watching the Bulls play, but there is still a hole at SG and its tough to win it all with that not fixed. Unlike the Jazz I think Chicago will win a championship in the next 3 years and break through.

Heat fans will call it D-Wade syndrome.
