It's going to be a looong off-season but lebron still has age on his side. He's still 2 years younger than Jordan was before he won his 1st. It will take some sort of vindication next season and a great finals performance to fully rebuild.

Pretty much take him out of any possible GOAT discussion. Top 15 at MOST.

I don't think anything is decided yet.

But next season is a "must win" for the Heat to take the championship, otherwise the damage will be real.

Kobe has lost 2 finals series too.

I'll give him one final chance.

I dont think he hurt it at all. It was the Heat's first year. As longs as he can win multiple championships in the future, everyone will forget about this.

Legacy-wise, not so much. The Heat did beat the odds and reached the Finals.

His bad Finals series is made up for by his defense on Rose.

Of course current perception is different but right now Lebron is around that Oscar range of being disappointing considering what you would expect from a player but he's also one dominant playoff season from establishing himself as the best but without any of the antagonistic expectations that comes from being the GOAT successor.

Also, one has to consider if Lebron destroys his legacy than he destroys Dirk's and this is Dirk's true attempt at establishing himself as a great player because of how this Heat team was built.

No coach. No GM. Probably no star. I swear, in my 23 years of following this team, I can't name a stranger time than this moment to be a supporter of the Magic.

As of now, his legacy can be summed up with one word; failure. Until, and if he wins one (or multiple rings) he is going to be overlooked. Similar to how Dirk's legacy was tarnished after the collapse in '06. Only one thing can cure this damage, winning.

I don't think he ruined his legacy, but he has shown that he can let his team down when they really need him. His 4th quarter play this whole finals was really embarrassing.

alotta damage control going on in here, the Heat were the favorites, they had HCA in the Finals.

I could never say that about KG. Even though he is a great player. In some way even in his prime he is Joakim Noah with a jump shot and a little better post game. Outside of that they have the exact same skill set.

yeah, but Kobe never have as bad of a performance like Lebron. Beside Miami is the clearcut favorite to win it. This is no contest, Kobe faced an one of ALL-TIME best defensive team in the Final 04 and Celtics '08.

Kobe has 5 rings prior to losing his first Finals series. LeBron has a HUGE uphill battle to repair his legacy. Kobe had a well earned cushion.

Lebron was on the same team as prime Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh. Okay. That's all I need to know.

Check his fourth quarter stats this series if you have any doubts.
