I don't get the PPS stat anyway. So if you get hacked on a shot you get a boost to your PPS since it doesn't add an attempt but its still a possession taken up. So who cares?

We don't need any more tall jump shooters

Why does it matter where he scores? Is a basket underneath worth more than one from 12 feet out? What an odd statement to make. :-?

which would be fine if we didn't have our entire team waiting for mid-range jumpers. You need floor spacing for our team to work. Mullens is terrified of being under the basket

That was a big problem when we had Krstic and Green starting, no one would go under the basket. That and defense, which Mullens doesn't play either.

As a scorer on a bad team, Mullens will be very good. Put him on a good team and he won't play much

Yup, and coming out of high school, he was (for just a little bit) considered to be a future top 5 pick. He was obviously exposed at Ohio State, but glad to see him having an impact for the Bobcats.

if he had stayed a couple more seasons in Ohio State, he would a lot more polished and stronger.

But I understand why he left after just one season.

Even in college he was known to have a decent offensive game with some athleticism. Problem with him was that he always looked disinterested/lazy... didn't like to rebound or play much defense. Doesn't look like a lot has changed, but it's good to see he's found a team to help contribute to. Don't understand why the Thunder didn't play him more so he could develop, especially since they had Krstic starting for so long doing the same thing.

Hopefully the Thunder take notice of Mullen's play and decide to play Aldrich a bit more this year. He showed some promise in preseason and I don't think he can do much worse than what Perkins is doing right now.

he was a draft night trade with dallas and okc.

His favorite player is dirk and I wonder what could've happened if he was drafted by Dallas.

You'd have to think playing alongside your favorite player would force you to work harder than ever right?

To be fair, DJ is a much better player than BJ

DJ doesn't have half of Byrons offensive moves.

His game kind of reminds me of a young Dirk, although I am not trying to put him in that category of player. To become a good player he would have to make the huge jump in rebounding and defense that Dirk did, and not to many guys do. There was one play tonight where he didn't even try on defense. I just don't think he has the right mentality to be a team player unless he is on a team that already has a good culture. That goes for a lot of these guys.

If you had to choose, would you rather go by "BJ" or "Byron" Mullens?

skilled shot maker but soft. he's really transformed his game since HS. back then he was athletic but tried to dunk everything.
he looks like he's spent a lot of time by himself in the gym because the rest of his game: passing, rebounding, awareness, defense still sucks.

hawes is a better rebounder than this kid.

still intrigued. he can get tougher. if biyombo pans out he could be the perfect complement to mullens.

Byron is currently the lowest rated player in NBA 2k12 with a 40 overall

This kid should be a STRONG contender for MIP considering everyone in the world thought he was complete garbage or forgot he was in the league.

8/13 17 pts 5 reb and a block in 24 minutes tonight

He was never garbage, if Presti gets you on draft night you are talented, but all he can do is shoot mid range jumpers.

I'll consider him for MIP once he can learn how to rebound, play defense, and play under the basket. Right now his reb% and DefRtg are career lows while his USG% is a career high. His block% is also very low this year at 2.2%, for reference Durant is at 2.6%

lol if he learns all those things he will be an all star, fug MIP..

hes shown a lot more than just jump shots lately, although he is lethal from 15-20 feet he has dunked in every game, goten clutch putbacks etc. Does need to work on his rebounding and D but this is basically his rookie season and we got him for free :D thanks Presti

How long you had a vote? Your man crush on Presti is unwilling to allow you to admit that he made a mistake. Here's the other one he made; drafting Cole Aldrich. Of course, I now expect you to defend the CA drafting and tell us all of his assets.

Giving him away for nothing is was a mistake, sure. But Mullens, just like Aldrich, was/won't get playing time on the Thunder til next year when Nazr retires.

Do I wish that we would've kept Mullens, sure, but Aldrich fits our team better than Mullens does.
