Did you see the Lakers offense at the beginning of the 4th quarter without Kobe in the game. Pau Gasol missed 3 shots and the Lakers scored ZERO points in almost 6 minutes.

So now we're gonna act like the Lakers NEED Kobe scoring 40 every night to win games? Maybe they were missing because they hadn't touched the ball for the first three quarters. The ball felt even more foreign to poor foreign Gasol.

I'm not watching that game at the moment. I am talking about this season in general. Kobe's FGA per game for the year is roughly the same as Bynum and Gasol combined. That's a huge imbalance, especially when Kobe is 33 and supposedly playing very hurt, and it could come back to bite L.A on the ass if Kobe wears himself down through the regular season and isn't 100% when the playoffs role around.

Why do you care how Lakers win their games?

No, just that they NEED Kobe for their offense to run. The reason Bynum and Pau are scoring so efficiently right now is because everyone is trying to stop Kobe. The easy looks those two are getting is absurd, and when Kobe isn't in the game and the defenses shift their attention to them, all of a sudden you see them struggling to produce offense.

Michael Jordan's career average: 1.316 points per field goal attempt
Kobe Bryant tonight: 1.355 points per field goal attempt

Yeah, Kobe's playing great.

Do people expect a 40 pt game with just 10-15 shots taken? lol

It's not as simple as just saying "he should pass more to Pau and Bynum." If you watch the games, yeah, he takes a few bad shots, but you can live with it since the rest of the game he's playing great. Bynum's adjusting a little bit right now with the extra attention teams are giving him, and I think he's getting the right amount of touches atm. Pau is being too passive right now, and you can see it when he's the only scorer on the floor. The offense sucks right now when Kobe isn't in. I think they'll eventually work through their problems and go to the big men more later in the season

I guess that's the new standard for a 33 year old, 16 years veteran these days.

A TS% of 59 is pretty good.

A little too many shots, including his mandatory heat-checks.

IMO the Lakers offence isn't too sharp. They have Fisher and Morris running the floor now with Blake injured.

PS: LAL had 4 bench points tonight.

Wade's fanboy are just jealous that Kobe can do this but Wade can't. Pathetic.

The bench play was comical. They don't even know how to run a simple high pick and roll.

LOLing at all haters. All I see here is haters hang out and jealousy, envy... its crazy. He shots so much (and hits like 50% with SHOOTING HAND INJURY) cuz he is freakin' KOBE BRYANT, shooting guard, one of the best ever etc. I bet you all know that, you just ignore it and use other less irrevelant info to try to bring his achivement(s) down. So pathetic.
And while we are at it, don't just watch the live score or box score at end of game and bring up the assumptions or make things up from that, WATCH THE GAME.

QQ more.
