yea mase/ireland said its only 1st rd, if doesn't go 6 he serves the rest next season

I think you right the link that other poster linked is mis-leading, it doesn't state IF lakers lose but lakers only play 4-5 games playoff games than obviously they lost in the 1st rd.

Do the lakers not close if up 3-0 for a better shot at winning round 2?
I'm not saying lakers will be up 3-0 but if it did happen do the lakers lose a play off game in purpose?
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Ha, now that would be weird, a team tanking a playoff game. I don't think it would happen though, there's too much risk just for Artest. What if Kobe or Bynum gets hurt in the extra game?

So would it be more beneficial if the Lakers went up 3-0 in the first round and then decide to tank the next 2 games in order to have Artest be ready for the 2nd round? I mean, i'm thinking bad scenario, Lakers swept the first round, they play the first 2 games away, and then the first game they came home to play at Staples, they have to incorporate Artest. They'd be better off stretching the first round to 6 games especially if they knew they're in a pretty comfortable lead like being up 3-0 or 3-1.

I think the OP's attempt at humor went above most of your heads there.

If you only have to miss 7 games for a malicious attack, I'm wondering why all teams don't just have the 15th and 14th guys dress for Game1 and intentionally injure the best players on the other team? I mean, does anyone care that you only miss the last guys on the bench for 7 games? We don't need Juwan in the playoffs. We don't need Eddy Curry in the playoffs. Why don't teams just goon it up now because the league says a man who's been suspended for the 14th time now only deserves 7 games away.

This is easily the dumbest ruling ever. The precedent has been set too damn low for such a heinous act. PEACE.

How do you suggest that happen?

Say.. Pat Riley or Erik Spoelstra come up to Eddy Curry one day and say "Hey, you suck and we don't need you in the playoffs. But since we're paying you a million bucks this year, would you please take out D-Rose tomorrow? Please take one for the team. It's your turn now, if we win the series, it's Juwon's turn to take out Durant in the Finals".

hmmm, are you sure Mia isn't already doing that? I mean wasn't James Jones heading hunting on Noah? Guess Wade didn't get message since tried to forearm RIP into the sidelines, next time let Harris or whatever scrub rookie do the dirty work.
