So the starting lineup will be:
Kemba
Hendo
MKG
Biyombo
Haywood

Correct me if I'm wrong, Bobcats fans.

Ben Gordon is their starting SG

incorrect

Kemba/Sessions
Hendo/Gordon/Willams
MKG/Taylor
Mullens/Thomas
Bismack/Haywood

is my expected rotation. With Jamison hopefully coming to knock Tyrus out of the rotation totally

He was still on amnesty, and only 3 years. I'm assuming a max of 2.5 million, which isn't bad for a stopgap 7 footer

I have to say, I am impressed with the Bobcats. I thought they would have just picked the easy pick in Thomas Robinson and play all the young guys and tank hard again this year.

But they made the SMART and most upside pick in MKG (really impressed with him after yesterdays game), brought in Ben Gordon for some scoring off the bench, brought in Sessions to help out at the point and now Haywood who's a decent centre.

Obviously there going to still suck but least there making some good moves to try and change the culture there and bring up the effort every game.

Charlotte's winning bid for Haywood, per league source, was $2.05M.

Good bargain, especially compared to Javalee McGee's $10 million salary and Omer Asik's $8 million salary.

Good pickup. Needed a center.

Agree, but I'd rather just keep Tyrus and pay him, still need some weakside blocks and rebounding. Mully is all the "stand around the perimeter and jack up 3's" that we need.

That's honestly not a terrible lineup. They won't be competing for a playoff spot, but they should certainly be better than they were last year.

Good enough for double digit wins and still get Shabazz. Bobcats might grab 25 wins

Mavericks will pay remaining $6.34M of Haywood's salary this season and $25.2M of guaranteed money left on his contract.

Fills a need. He also works out in Charlotte every off-season and I believe he lives there too. It's an ideal fit. At a tad over $2m, he's a steal.

For some reason, I read Bobcats as Hornets lol...I thought they'd end up with him.

Just a "meh" signing for me, now.

Will help win more games, but Charlotte can win more and still get a top-5 pick.

Clarification on Haywood: Charlotte's winning bid was $2.05M per year. Minimum bid for Haywood for this season is $4.19M.

I wonder if he will join the rest of the team and head coach in the summer league so they can lock down that title.
