Douglas has basically turned into Adam Morisson - so it's still a terrible, terrible coaching move. Especially considering how poor the Rockets offensive talent is outside of Harden.

another person that didnt watch the game. please dont say things like its facts when you didnt even watch the game. Lillard went off when they put douglas on him in OT and most of his points came off screens and switches. God I hate GB sometimes.

Lettuce be reality, I DID watch the game, and saw Lillard blow by Lin whenever he wanted. Douglas at least forced him to take jumpshots (which he drained anyway). Would you rather have someone like Lillard take a jumpshot or drive to the basket, finish and draw a foul?

lol @ your bias. You do realize there are stats and shot charts to prove you wrong right?

Lillard got 1 layup the entire game. Please go.

Lin is at least average and Toney Douglas is garbage. Toney Douglas also got lit up worse than Lin. Dude is worse defensively than Lin.... I have watched him play for the Knicks for long enough to know that he is only decent at spot up shooting if he is on that is. Garbage at everything else. I cringe everytime someone says he is a good defender. He has no bball iq, can't pass, can't do ****!! Can't believe we had him as starting point at one point. It still gives me nightmares. :x

Lillard was like 3-9 on Lin btw. I think people take Stephen A Smith comments too seriously.

I made this point in the game thread. Lillard shot 3-9 off lin, made every shot against Tony Douglas. Lin is statistically an elite iso defender. Tony douglas is statistically quite literally the worst player in the league.

Just a whole lot of WTFs.

lol exposed, lillard was very bad against lin that ws the big reason why rockets had the double digit lead. if you saw lillard bew by lin whenever he wanted, then you must have watched a different game in an alternative universe, because that sure didnt happen tonight

Lin has trouble guarding the P&R... but so does every PG in the league... Rockets bigs need to do a better job of hedging instead of just letting their guards get burned each time an opposing guard comes off a pick

finally someone that actually watched the game

What I watched was Douglas and Parsons switching and it Lillard was abusing Parsons. It could have been either Douglas or Lin in the game at those moments, and it wouldn't have changed the outcome of Lillard abusing Parsons.

they were switching because douglas is the worst player in the nba at fighting over screens

Just because he drives doesn't mean he's going to take the layup. He kicks it back for a jumpshooter 70% of the time. The last shot Lillard made to make the game 111-108 was an easy blow by past Lin and jumpshot. Just because it's not categorized as a layup doesn't mean it wasn't as open a shot.

if youre talking about the last before regulation it was well defended, Lin was far from being blown by. Again your bias is showing. The only reason Lillard settled for that fadeaway jumper was because he couldnt get around

Lillard just decided to go off in the 4th and OT no matter who was on him.

ClutchFans.net ‏@clutchfans
Fans buzzing about Rockets sitting Jeremy Lin the entire OT, but Damian Lillard scored 11pts on Lin in the final 4:05 of regulation.

I still would've rathered Lin in though, at least he would've been able to run the offense..

Seriously, Lin is not having a great season by any means, and he's far from the second coming of Nash, but you just look like a bitter Knicks fan here. Lin was actually having an efficient game and even if he wasn't, you still play him over Toney Douglas.

That last shot was a contested fade away 2. Are you sure you watched the same game?

True, most of the damage was done against Parsons. However, the dropoff on offense from Lin to the abomination that is Toney Douglas, definitely did have an impact on the game. Houston had great ball movement up until the 4th quarter when Douglas came in for good, and that ball movement completely vanished. Not a coincidence.

This past season the young precocious Lin was a beacon of light on the New York Knicks organization and the sporting world as a whole. He was a blooming flower, growing in might and stature. His performances left us in a daze, his state sheet left us amazed.

A year later and expectations have changed. We expect more out of young Jeremy, surprised no more. He'll have to live up to last season's excitement while still pushing forward and continuing to grow. We'll see if he can meet our lofty expectations.

I just watched that play again on League pass and it was not an easy blow by. Lin stayed in front of him so Lillard pulled up and made a difficult shot. It was a good offensive play.
