Amazing to think they want to have a say in team operations after relinquishing ownership of it. Unless that's some dumb ploy to leverage more out of prospective buyers?...? Nah it seems just like the kind of thing they'd ask for, with straight faces lol You guys have done enough. Really.

Not really surprising. These guys are spoiled playboys who have always gotten what they wanted thanks to daddy's business. Now that they've run that business into the ground, they can't afford to keep the team. But they still love the status/clout of owning an NBA team and making basketball decisions.

So they want the best of both worlds: Someone paying them big bucks for their team to get them out of debt while at the same time still having the status of running an NBA franchise.

The thing is, they already passed up on a good deal from the City of Sacramento and now supposedly the Seattle group. The Maloofs don't know a good deal when they see one which is probably why they've lost almost all of their inherited wealth. Their demands are so ridiculous, no one will truly appease them. If they don't sell the franchise, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose it.

While the Maloofs not owning the team anymore is positive, unfortunately it's at the cost of Sactown fans losing a team. Hopefully Maloofs don't once again screw up another sale. The sooner this gets done, the better.

Happy for the Seattle fans, it's just too bad it's at another fan base's expense.

Charles Barkley went on record saying that David Stern NEEDS to make the Maloofs sell the team one way or another. Bout time somebody finally called them out on national TV. You can't keep playing games with people like they have.

From what I understand they have already sold 49% of the team, they are not going to sell anymore as it costs them control of the team. If they do sale the team it will be for the whole team at this point.

Man, turns out that wanting a say in operations after selling wasn't a dumb ploy after all. They actually leveraged being super annoying into squeezing out an extra $25M from the prospective owners just to disappear! Poof! Maloofs are goooooone!
