All he says is, give this guy some credit and give that guy some credit.
Now give Moshi a lot of credit.. He knows what he's talking about..

I like JVG and Breen. But Breen can be so repetitive sometimes all he says is Bang! Puts it in! or Banks it in! Hubie and Tirico are growing on me though

All the TNT guys are first class. I'm really liking Harlan and Miller. Webber/Stockton is an underrated duo as well, Webber in particular is quite good.
Van Gundy is awesome, hilarious too. But I'll vote Miller/Harlan.

Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Art Vandelay wrote:I really wish they'd give Kevin Harlan C-Dubb as a partner instead of Reggie. Or perhaps we could get the 2k combo of Kerr and Harlan. That would be a SWEET LINEUP.
Pairing either with Harlan would probably rival Breen/JVG as my favorite. Reggie drags the effort down so much.

Re: Who's the best commentary duo in the NBA right now?
JVG Breen probably the best.
Voted for Miller Halran though... Reggie doesn't get as much credit because he hasn't been doing it as long as some of the other guys but I think he's really good. Should be around for a while.
On a side note: Hubie - is one of the greatest in my eyes. Can't get enough of that guy.

Yes, im serious.
Hubie is the greatest. He is great to listen to when he speaks about basketball. A terrific basketball mind.
What i would give to hear Harlan, Brown and Doug Collins calling a game. That would be amazing.
Former players are generally rubbish. Give me the old school head coach any day of the week.
I grew up watching Hubie on NBA on CBS where he covered the Piston-Bulls wars. He's lost a lot over the years but still one of the best. Also like Kerr, Van Gundy, and the Webber-Stockton combo although Webber is corny as f*ck for a cool athlete

I still find it asbsolutely amazing the amount of support Hubie has. You can tell he knows the game and is seeing things, but unfortunately he is too slow to keep up with the action, doesn't have the stats or even often names at his fingerprints. He constantly stalls with the gotta give the guy credit line, or the slow listing of he gives the 15pts he also gives the 6rebs and also the...you can practically hear him reading the statsheet in front of him in lieu of analysis. Moments of insight are few and far between. What he really needs to do is be retired and put out to pasture as a studio analyst where he can preprepare presentations rather than have to try to keep up with a game on the fly.

Re: Who's the best commentary duo in the NBA right now?
Dick Stockton and Chris Webber / Marv Albert and Steve Kerr ... either one. I can't decide between the two.
I am surprised so many people like Breen / JVG. I think I'm just sick of Breen's over the top delivery with some stuff. The only one I like with that kind of embellished excitement is Kevin Harlan. I wish Harlan wasn't with Reggie Miller... because Reggie is brutal.
