lol dudes have been getting overpaid for way longer than 2010. At least they can't sign with other teams for longer than 4 years now.

what it's changed is that more good players are now available for MLE or lower. and that trend will continue

I am just frustrated because of Miamis dominance.

Last CBA this would have been a 5 year deal, the CBA before it would have been a 6 year deal. This deal will be 4 years and the annual raises will also be a lot lower. This deal is gonna be like $30 million less than an equivalent max in the past.

In 2 or so years Evans will be the better player, book it.

Might be a stupid question but what is the average money for a max contract per year, isn't like $18M or so now after the new CBA.

No matter what the price is theirs no way in hell that AI is worth a max contract, not even in his younger years.Dudes a very good player but is basically a slightly better offensive version of AK47.Now a core of Cousions/Iguodala/McLemore is good but their in dire need of a starting caliber point guard. Those three players together still isn't enough for the Kings to make the playoffs out west.

So this is the first time a team over paid for a player?

Iggy is not a max player. He's a 12-14ppg scorer on 45% shooting. He's also going to be 30 and is heavily reliant on athleticism.

Awesome. Keep these posts coming.

On topic, I love Iggy, but Kings will for sure regret this in a couple of years.

$16.4m, but that will likely be slightly adjusted upwards with an increased salary cap.

Right now, a max deal for Iguodala from the Kings means 4yrs and $70m.

It depends on how many years the guy has been in the NBA. Iguodala has played 9 years so his max = 30% of the cap. If the cap is the same as this year (I forget what it is) then it's $16,402,500. He would get 4.5% raises

So it would look like this

$16,402,500 $17,140,612.50 $17,911,940.06 $18,717,977.37

$70,173,030 total

Good for Iggy if it's true, but Yikes

Your organization has to start somewhere. Bc Dwight sure wouldn't go there even with Couz
