Went from underpaid to overpaid in one off season.

Dude is good but he needs to get way better on the offensive end to be worth that contract.

Roy Hibbert should be mad. HE was THE guy vs the Heat. The real menace, but George comes with the most hype. :o

It makes a franchise seem cheap and petty when they match an offer and keep the player

Um no. That's called being smart.

George could very well go from underrated to overrated quickly with this deal.

Still much better than overpaying (Gay) or trading him prematurely (Harden)

The Bulls are playing their cards much better with Deng

Welp, after seeing that Paul George contract, you can say bye bye to Deng unless the Bulls win a chip.

I thought George was Lakers property? Is IND allowed to extend him?

Saw this coming a mile away. Because of that, I would've shipped him to Sacramento or Phoenix in the middle of last year (around the trade deadline) for their first rounder in this year's draft (2014)

Get a top 3 pick & a chance at Wiggins or Randle

90M...that's superstar money. He has the potential but he'll have to produce on that level now.

This is where it gets interesting for Indiana. Do they keep paying these salaries or back off like OKC & Chicago?

Indiana has $69M in roster this year, without Paul George's max extension. The future is going to be very expensive if they keep Granger.

...because he was THE man that put Miami and the other teams in a terrible situation. His contract is 60million on 4 years. How can you give the biggest contract of your team to the man who isn't the main player?

Looks like Indy wanted to lock him up without any drama, probably a smart move. LA's possible future FA options are starting to slim down. Basically if Melo doesn't leave NY...yeah.

Indiana better gear up for a championship run this year, because they lose all their flexibility after this year and they can kiss granger and stephenson goodbye.
