So long as this isn't against the rules, this actually makes me even more of a Blazers fan. There's nothing that disappoints me more than managers/coaches who remain averse to technology/advanced stats in today's information age, and the Blazers are, well, blazing a trail in this regard. And the proof is in their utterly blindsided success thus far.

The irony is that I think he probably knows better than anybody how terrible Microsoft products are.

Least you only have to pay the 3rd of a cost for a "terrible" Microsoft product versus a super expensive pain in the ass apple product. Probably have to sync your gameplan in each week and it deletes everything else on the iPad.

There are quite a few ways to access content on an ipad now without the use of syncing.

I barely sync my Ipad and constantly get new files on it (more then just apps and itunes stuff).

Also the price is not 1/3rd I mean a 16 gig Ipad Air runs about runs about 499 meanwhile the Microsoft tablet runs 299. Most uses people get out of an Ipad though can easily be done with an Ipad mini retina or an Ipad 2 which run for 399 brand new. Crap they even have the $299 Ipad mini now which is the slightly older model brand new which is exactly the price of a Microsoft Tablet.

So you are not looking at a huge discount then, unless you demand 64 or more gigs of storage space on your Ipad.

True, but there's a difference between someone telling you something and you seeing it yourself. Also the coaches just can't remember every single thing that is happening. Matthews was saying himself that it's hard enough for you to remember exactly what the other options were in a play.

This is pretty awesome though, quite smart of them. I wonder what they are using to get the videos.

What might once have been a "halftime adjustment" can now take place before a player checks back in during the second quarter. - See more at: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1286455#sthash.PzknKAMP.dpuf

I think that's the best part about it. The main key point. You don't have to wait until halftime to see what type of crappy mistakes you're doing. See how it happened right away, then you can fix it right away.

Shouldn't they be using the struggling microsoft surface that is losing their owner money.? For the surface 2 stand I plan on buying a pro 2 when I can get it cheaper.

If that is what it takes to have an 11 game winning streak, then more teams should do just that. ;)

Just an interesting side bit. Batum posted a picture on Instagram last night and sitting there on the table was his iPad as he was reviewing the game. Great tool imo.

This. It's so frustrating that these teams spend millions of dollars on players to play the game but refuse to spend thousands on helping the players improve

The Blazers aren't the only team to use tablet technology in basketball just the only one to take it to this extent on the court as the Phoenix Suns use tablets to get information such as scouting reports and they are not 10/11-2 like the Blazers. I don't have the exact article from before one the Suns using tablets but I found a relating source from 2012 http://www.intomobile.com/2012/02/14/ph ... 2-tablets/.

Also the NBA just inked a deal with Samsung so the Blazers will have to replace the Apple products with Samsung tablets.

Don't like it. It's a crutch. In 15 years players probably won't know how to play right without an ipad telling them everything. You need to know how much space you're giving your man or if you rushed your shot? You can't tell that by yourself?
