No it's not. You guys may think football is an European thing, but it's a global thing. It's FAR and AWAY the most popular sport in the world. It's nothing like asking someone who Peyton Manning is. North Americans are the only people who give a damn about American football.

It is the most popular sport in the world but it is not very popular in America. I played soccer and have a lot of friends who did to but I also have quite a few friends who never played nor watched soccer in their lives and they have no idea who Messi or any other soccer player is besides Pele.
