Can't see him dropping out of the top three, but at the absolute worst he could fall to Boston at 6.

I dont understand how you let this guy drop out of the top 3.

His upside is insane. He has hall of fame upside.

Why the heck would you pass up on this kid?

Worst happens, it doesn't pan out..... like 90% of the top 3 picks.

Very hard to say. I'm a fan, but the fact is, there's two major things you never want to see for a big man: bad back, bad feet. And he has had both in the last 6 months. Reddest of the red flags, though I obviously hope it's just random bad luck. It's times like this where I'm glad I'm not a GM.

I honestly wouldn't mind Utah risking Embiid at 5.

They'll just sit back and hopefully aim to get Jahlil in next years draft.

With the way the rule book is set up today I'd rather have Mudiay.

Not a chance if Boston is selecting for themselves that Embiid will be passed up. NO CHANCE.

If Embiid is there at No. 4, I think Boston would trade with Orlando to grab him for maybe a future pick.

I dont' know what Orlando wants to do. I doubt Embiid goes to Utah. Embiid's agent might start forcing others' hands.

No chance Cleveland passes on him. They know if he is injured, they'll get the #1 pick again in 2015.

I called Embiid going to the Celtics after the lottery results. On the basis of his back injury and the fact no one wants to select Oden 2.0 in the top 5. He's going to be a Celtic on draft night if the pick is kept.

I think 5 or 6. Don't see Orlando taking him when Smart will most likely be on the board but who knows.

He won't fall past 3rd, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he still went #1.

1- Wiggins
2- Parker
3- Exum

Orlando and Utah should be the real contenders at this point. It really depends on how much faith they have in their bigs and if they want to roll the dice on him or go with a more sure thing. Orlando won't pass on Exum and a lower tier Smart. Utah has been heavily inquiring about Vonleh and is usually a city that requires an ok by the agent. It's between them.

He will not drop past Boston, he fills the need for a center in this team and Ainge won't look past it. Guaranteed won't past this point.

6 or 7. The Lakers and Celtics are both able to take the risk of drafting Joel Embiid. It wont teams like them as much as middle and small markets at the top of the draft.

There are a lot of insanly over optimistic people on this board.

Keep in mind this is the same injury that ended Yao's career. Being a 7 footer with stress fracture this early in his career is bad. Not to mention a bad back. Either of these things could be enough drop him down the list.

You could get lucky and these injuries turn out to be nothing, or he could be a guy whos perma-injured for his short career.

I'd love it if he fell to 7th but I can't see Boston passing.
