Doug E. Fresh doesn't hurt them on the floor as much as the loss of Butler does.
No Deng anymore, and no Butler = No one to guard Melo.
Butler being able to lock down the opponents best perimeter player without having to double allowed his weaker defensive teammates to guard lesser offensive threats and stay with them, which improved the team D.
With Dunlevy and McTurnstyle trying to guard Melo, the Bulls will be forced to double, leaving other Knicks shooters open. It's not rocket science here. Combine that with their scoring problems, and it should make for a close game.
