The T-Wolves drafting Rubio AND Flynn directly in front of Curry is hilarious to me.

Almost makes the pain of us F'ing up like 20 straight drafts go away. Almost

Imagine Steph Curry being the one to take over the reigns from Steve Nash...

Makes me sad whenever I think of this

Minny finally has hope with Wiggins, who looks like a blue chipper.

That said, a Curry-Love-Cousins squad (which Minny could have constructed more or less) sure sounds good...

I can“t remember but was Curry the reason for the declining of the deal or Andris Biedrins?
And btw: at this time, Stat in Golden State would be incredible!

Minnesota hasn't been to the PO's in over a decade and Golden State has the most wins in the NBA. I think Minnesota would like a do-over on that pick.

Probably take Steph then Ricky

100% true. If he hadn't rolled his ankle again right before the trade he would have been a Buck.

Nothing wrong with the Ricky pick, the Flynn pick was the bad one.

He wasn't ever close to being a Sun. The Amare trade was called off because he was still on the board at GS's pick.

That 6x OT Syracuse game where Flynn scored 34 & 11 basically got him drafted way too high. GMs need to learn to ignore aberration one off games like that.

He was also so close to being a member of the Knicks.

He wasn't close to being a Knick. He just had to fall to the Knicks which he didn't. The deal with Phoenix was already in place. It was a done deal but Golden State decided to keep him.

1 pick is pretty damn close.

Especially when the W's already had Monta Ellis who was a player Curry was compared to but with more range and they had a need for a defensive big man with a mid range game. Curry wanted the Knicks bad, he was interviewed on draft night saying he wanted to go to the Knicks and was seen slamming his fists on the table when the Warriors drafted him 1 pick before the Knicks.

I would say that was pretty close. Much close then the Suns at least...
Go Knicks!

Are you sure?

Steve Kerr himself said that he thought Suns had a deal in place for Steph Curry and they then choose Earl Clark with the 14th pick instead of Jrue Holiday in that draft. He was high on Steph and Jrue and missed on both thanks to old Nellie who couldn`t keep his word.
