Silver wants to eliminate divisional advantage but I don't believe it has happened yet, and even then the move may not be effective until 2016-17. So if those are the 8 EC playoff teams in order of record, Boston would have the #4 seed under the current system.

If Miami comes together reasonably well and they stay fairly healthy, I think they are the EC version of the Portland Trailblazers. Pretty good at every position with some fringe superstars but no real MVP type of talent.

I see the young up-and-coming groups taking a step-forward (in the bucks case a leap) this year. I think Giannis is ready to be a dynamic player already, I see something like 19/8/4 while being a great defender, Monroe to be better than he ever has now playing his true position, everyone will be better this year and if Jabari's healthy and the player they drafted then I think they could win 55 games, honestly
I'm not a beal fanatic but I do think he'll have by far his best year so far, and moreover I expect Porter to take a big step forward and be a very effective small-ball 4 in their new style. Wall will also be even better than he has and lead this team in a big way.

I don't see great health in chicago but I think they'll have fewer struggles than Miami. Is whiteside really that guy and can he stay out of trouble? Almost everyone on the heat is a health risk, Even if you get 60 good games from Wade, will everything with Bosh really be okay? Can Dragic/Deng stay healthy? Cause their bench got better but it's still not good. Just me but I see a lot of health struggles again bogging them down.

Celts got a little more talent and most of their guys should be a little better. Smart could be ready to do a fair bit more and with Stevens at the helm I think they'll be at least 5 wins better.

Hawks fans will go crazy and I don't blame them but I'm far from convinced Thabo will be/stay healthy, If Al goes down they'll be lucky to get this seed, and with Korver at his age if he lost a step from the injury creating the separation off of screens and such will be much harder meaning he won't draw the attention he did and I think that really hurts them. Probably harsh but almost everyone's older and they'd be extremely lucky to have the level of health they did last regular season.

Raptors, idk, I don't like Dwayne Casey I guess? They should be higher than 8th and be able to maintain a similar record to last year I just think they suffer the rest of the middle-bottom teams getting much better.

Blast away. Feel free to bring up in a 9 months if its horribly wrong because I will if it's incredibly correct,
It's not about the players with the Hawks, it's about the system, comraderie, contuniuim. This is season 3 in the process, it's about the playoffs instead of the regular season now, that's our focus.

I believe you forgot this team called the Miami Heat. From what I've heard, they're a pretty good team with these guys named Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh who are really good players.

He's got Brooklyn as #1 seed. I don't think it's worth trying to be rational with this guy.

Good luck to the rest of the EC teams though, we'll see :)

Cool, how much are we betting? I got 200 on it right now.

And if you're not putting money on it, you might want to cool it with the rhetoric.

Since this the thread title is "crazy", some of these predictions aren't supposed to be completely logical.

A few points:

-Cleveland is the field, there is no competition; only little nuisances along the way.
-Don't think Hawks back up their fluke last year, finish in the 8 though
-Miami could be alright if healthy, but the ineptitude of Spoelstra could show again this year, and wouldn't be surprised if Miami struggles to start, he is out by AS break
-Bulls need their bigs to be healthy more than they need Rose I think
-Raptors could be good, but desperately need an upgrade at 4 and their wings to show up
-Bucks are good on paper, but they are in need of a bench tidy up
-I can't picture the current Celtics roster as the roster they start the season with
-Wizards have too many mediocre pieces to compete
-The PAcers only JUST missed out last year, I expect Boston, Washington and Indiana to be in a dog fight for number 8

Regular Season Standings:
1. Cavs 65+
2. Bulls
3. Heat
4. Raptors
5. Hawks
6. Bucks
7. Celtics
8. Wizards or Pacers

1. Cavs
2. Bulls
3. Heat
4. Hawks
5. Bucks
6. Raps
7. Wizards
8. Pacers

I fully believe the Pacers will make the playoffs this season. They are gaining their star caliber player, Paul George and they also added Monta Ellis. Their front court is pretty weak though, especially after losing Hibbert and West; I expect them to make a trade to address the 4 spot.

1.Cavs
2.Bulls
3.Heat
4.Raptors
5.Wizards
6.Bucks
7.Hawks
8.Pacers

- Cavs deserve to be Favorites atm
- The Bulls will be good this season (The Front Office Drama is gone)
- Heat I need to see Bosh play again and also need to see Whiteside back it up
- Bucks and Hawks are being Overhyped.
- The Wizards should be good this season.

Yeah Pacers will get in if they are healthy.

8th seed is going to be close...between Detroit, Boston, Pacers, Knicks.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

1. Cavs- best player. Defending east champs. It's clear
2. Wizards- Wall is ready to take the step as the 2nd best player in the east. Beak will improve a lot. Porter will also improve.
3. Heat- if healthy this team on paper may be able to beat the Cavs.
4. Bulls- Depending on the Rose debacle but overall they have great chemistry and teamwork
5. Bucks- Monroe was a good get. I don't see Gianni's ready to leap into stardom but they have a lot of talent and good coaching.
6. Hawks- Carrol was a big lose but they're talented and have good coaching
7. Raptors- They have talent but like last year I don't see a threat
8. Pistons- I like Drummond this year, they added good stretch PF. A full year with Jackson as well. I see a big jump.
