The West is wide open after GSW/SAS/LAC and I like Utah's chances to slip in there and take that 4 slot.

3 best guys coming off serious injuries. If you're Memphis I think you slow play the regular season and you're happy with any playoff spot but 8th (Warriors in 1st round too scary) and then hoping you get 2 months of health.

Or the Spurs we've been picking them apart since that 2011 series

I'll have a nice big smile on my face if we have to play them again

Yeah. Matchup friendliness is tough to predict but you'd figure the Jazz length and athleticism would be scarier for the Spurs, considering the difficulty you've had with OKC's similar qualities. Obviously the Warriors would be favoured and the Clippers can beat you (as we saw recently) but after that I think as a Spurs fan the Jazz would be next on my list. The West has really gone from 5-6 strong teams to 3-4 rather quickly. I guess Minnesota should be up there soon.

Naw we handled them pretty easily last year, and you gotta figure the clippers and the thunder top players are much then the jazz's.

Yes your team certainly did handle mine last year lol. It was painful. But next year the Jazz are a vastly improved team. Much deeper, better bench scoring, perimeter D, Healthy...

Last year I was the only who predicted the success of Blazers.

Now I'll say that the Thunder won't be in the playoffs.

Grizz

Rockets

Pelicans
Mavs
Wolves
Nuggets
Kings
Suns
Lakers

I go back and forth here. I think scheduling, Westbrook situation and young teams taking a step up, could really alter things. If the Nuggets are healthy, I could see them make a push for the 8th seed. The Blazers should be able to grow upon their playoff experience and Lillard/McCollum backcourt is a year older. Grizz suffered a lot of injuries last season and I don't expect that this season. Pelicans really underachieved last season and the Brow was hurt, could see them make the playoffs. The Rockets are still a pretty solid club, but will they stop being so dysfunctional? I really like the Jazz and they should be better this season with solid trades and health. I don't like what the Spurs did replacing Duncan and Diaw, with Gasol. I don't think Diaw had the impact last season as he had previously, but not sure if that was all his fault. Trading him to the Jazz, hurt the Spurs as well, as I think the Jazz are the better team now. If Westbrook remains in OKC, they make the playoffs and if they trade him for equal value(that is going to be tough), they still might make the playoffs. The Mavs, I just don't know and I'm probably discounting them again, so I should pencil them in for a playoff spot, but I'm not going to. The Wolves IMO are on the cusp of something great. I think experience is the only thing holding them back from being a playoff threat. It won't be long and they will be back in the playoff picture.
