How is that a positive? He gave Crabbe $17M a year, and traded him away for ZERO talent in return, and the team is eating $3M in DEAD MONEY for like 7 more years. The net result was no Crabbe, more cap burden
Thats sort of a theme of his tenure - rising costs, but not corresponding rising production. It's actually going backwards - more expensive, fewer wins
Had he simply simply NOT MATCHED ON CRABBE, he wouldn't have crabbe, but he wouldn't have that dead money either. Its ridiculous to stand up for Olshey on that move - it was a disaster that got smaller, but could have been entirely avoided.
