The writer was just putting in his personal opinion about Vince and Zbo. Both guys who are the end of their careers and chose to take another pay-day vs becoming an end of the bench piece to a contender.

"Not surprisingly, Hill isn’t happy, according to multiple sources And the other veterans can’t be too happy, either. So the Kings have a mess on their hands.

Hill also took the money after turning that extension in Utah and having the market dry up on him. The difference is that he is 31 and at the end of his prime vs Zbo being 36 and Carter being 40. Hill has been the starter but far too often he hasn't been finishing games so I think that is where his frustration come from. The guy has been pretty damn efficient in his 25mpg.

I was shocked at Carter's decision the most during the off-season. He's made enough to not need a payday and prioritize winning. I feel like he should have either stayed in Memphis or joined Toronto.

To be fair to them... They probably didn't think in their wildest dreams that anybody would overpay them as much as Sacramento did.

Vince is getting $8 freaking million... The difference between that at a minimum contract (which is all he's worth in his AGE 40 season) is tremendous...

they wanted the money and they got it. had they wanted to win, there were far better situations for them and lord knows they don't need that money.

they made their bed: $ > winning

This!!! The Kings are a dumpster fire. Shame on them Especially Hill, if he wanted to win he should have taken a pay cut and played for the Spurs for a chance to win. Pure money grab

OP pushing fake news. Challenge you to quote where it says VC or Randolph is unhappy.

As for Hill, the guy signed an overpaid contract to play for a bad team. You dont get to take your money and then cry about it as soon as things get tough. Man up, Hill.

Oh I agree 100%. But I just think its obvious that they went to Sac because of the money they were offered, not because of some idea that the older guys were going to be the core and they were going to make a playoff run. No one in their right mind believes that was the plan going into the season. I like all these older guys, just think its dumb this is coming out a quarter into the season. Just seems like a way for them to say "no, no, no, we didnt come here just for the money, we were told we would be a playoff team, so dont look at us as guys chasing checks, look at Sac for lying to us." The day each one of these guys signed with Sac, everyone on here knew they were going there just for the money.

This story seems fishy.

They signed because Joerger was the coach there and they knew him and obviously like playing for him.

Was he saying he's unhappy like he wants off the team or was he saying he's unhappy as a leader because they lost 5 straight?

Z-bo is always smiling and shares how much he loves the young guys.

The GB is a dumpster fire.

Hill deserves this. He had like 2 good months last season and suddenly thought he was entitled to a huge payday no matter what. He decided to balk at the Jazz' very generous offer, his greed leading him to believe the PG market was more desperate than it was. Once Lowry and Chris Paul got situated, everything else dried up and nobody wanted to pay big money for an over the hill Hill with an injury problem.

Good riddance to a paycheck player.

Well they could always quit and try to go play pro ball in China or Europe. Not like they are being forced to earn millions of $ playing in the nba at the ends of their careers.

George Hill is such a scrub its like he forgot how to play basketball.

I put this on joerger honestly. His playing time distribution is perplexing. Hield needs more touches start Fox main core guys need 30 + min/game too much playing time for guys like temple hill.

In all fairness this is the rare story where Kings FO seems sympathetic. These guys are most likely all just trying to get outta town after getting paid like everyone's saying.
