I don't think anything is off the table until the ink is dry.

For sure. Until he actually opts out, nothing matters. Interesting the timing of this though. There's a message to someone here.

What an idiot. Does he think someone else is gonna offer him that kind of money?

Agreed. "If" CLE trades for Kemba, I would sense that maybe CLE has been tipped off that he's re-signing longterm or if CLE stands pat, this could signal to LAL, "I'm coming"...with PG.

I would expect somebody would take Deng + Ball for an expiring and preserve the rest of the cap space for Kawhi in 2019 if need be. Fill around Kuzma, Ingram, LBJ, PG13, Hart, Zubac. Doesn't excite me but hey, if LBJ wants to live that LAL lifestyle and chill, I'm good...

I'm sort of hoping for this tonight though;

CLE receives
Kemba Walker
Nick Batum
Paul George (opt-in)
Hassan Whiteside

CHA receives
George Hill
JR Smith
#8

OKC receives
Kevin Love
#11

MIA receives
TT
Korver

Personally, would be overpayment for PG rental but would OKC turn down Love + #11 if it was offered if they knew PG was going to LAL instead?

No. No they would not turn that down at all. I'd fly to OKC and help PG pack.

The most surprising thing about this news is that Dan Patrick of all people was the one to first announce it. What year is it?

If so Morey has his work cut out for him because cap space is a huge issue right now. Who's taking Anderson's deal? Are they letting Capela walk?

It would eliminate teams that need to trade for him to add him. I guess Houston and Boston would be out right?

There is significance to an opt out. His last year option was slightly more (by like a million) than the most he could sign for on a new contract.

Also, because so few teams have cap space, it eliminates a trade avenue

Yeah - I agree OKC wouldn’t turn that down. As a fan of OKC I wouldn’t want them to either. Westbrook might not be okay w/ it cause he seems to want PG to stay, but then I remembered that Westbrook and Love were roommates at UCLA so they are probably friends. Love is a more consistent player than PG and he’s proven he can play w/ a ball-dominant superstar type and handle it with class and professionalism.

Your trade proposal is pretty good work cause I can see the benefits for every team. CLE, as usual, is taking on the brunt of the trash contacts, but then they keep LeBron and the income he brings to pay for it all.

Actually if he wanted to go ther he would have to opt in and have the Cav's trade him there.

PG13 isnt leaving $10 million on the table to go to Cleveland.

This is what I expected.

Most Rockets fans think he will opt in and deal for Ryan Anderson/Gordon

Now Rockets have 2% of chance to get LeBron.

It costs Rockets too much now, sign and trade, take all of the veterans out, use young players and picks to get LeBron.
