He's gotten their cap situation very lean, and talent permitting, very mean.

He’s loaded the Kings with young players, that’s very different than loading them with young talent. I don’t see any single player on that roster playing in an allstar game in the future. He’s made too many awful trades to list and passing on Doncic will end up being one of the most headshaking moments of his entire tenure.

Divac is the worst GM in the league and it’s not even a close race imo. How he still has a job while Hinkie is unemployed is just a mystery.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

He also traded away the 3rd overall pick in 2017 and another pick in 2019, just to make room to overpay no-Achilles Wesley Matthews. Then ended up signing Rajon Rondo/Kosta Koufos/Marco Belinelli.

The Kings have some real nice players such as Fox/Bogdanovic/Buddy Hield/Giles, but those guys combined aren't anywhere near good enough to make the playoffs in a loaded Western Conferences. I'm not high on Bagley at all either, but he's got a few years to prove that he's better than I think he will be.

Just a very mediocre and amateur front office at best, honestly.

If making that mistake should've ended his tenure, then sure. But they've done mostly the right things since and turned their cap situation right around.

Vlade's currently gotten the Kings to 10 youngsters and Bogdanovic/Yogi/Bjelica on the books. And potentially 60-odd million in 2019 cap space.

If any of those kids finally break out into stardom, BIG IF, and if they grab a decent free agent or two, you have the makings of a great springboard to the playoffs.

Otherwise, they could process the joint right up, sell their cap space for more draft picks and keep waiting on those kids.

How many teams around the league would love to have that situation?

If I were Vivek, then I would keep Divac. The logic is simple: As bad as Divac is, Vivek is so bad the odds are still better than 50-50 that he hires a replacement that's even worse.

The best thing Vivek could do would be to get rid of himself.
