I hope he doesnt get big for it would hurt his game relative to today’s game and make him less durable.

Yeah that's technically not true. You pretty much gradually lose height after your late twenties it's just like bell curve where it's very noticeable when you are elderly. It may be fractions of a mm but if you are 28 you are starting to get shorter.

lol, my father measured out at 6'4 at his last checkup before back surgery, he was 6'4 on his military ID which was 30+ years ago.

Comparative to KG, he looks like whatever Shaq is, similar disparity. KG's height has long been a dispute, I think he's 7' by NBA standards, aka, 6'11ish in socks. I think he gives up a smidge to Tyson Chandler, who also wasn't 7' in socks.

I don't think Embiid weighs as much as Shaq did as a rookie, and should never strive to be anywhere near Shaq's weight. No one has the frame to carry that bulk that way.

That depends on your lifestyle. And even if you did live a crappy lifestyle in which you gain 10 pounds a month from nonstop junk food and no exercise, it's pretty rare to start losing height from the age of 28. More like in their mid 30s is when they'll gradually lose an inch of their height. On the other hand, a healthy, active person gradually lose their inch at roughly 40-42 (on average).

If Embiid gets any bigger, he will never achieve his full potential. I think that even now he is an injury waiting to happen since he is quite clumsy. He reminds me of Gronkowski in that regard, both guys dont know how to fall and it always looks like they got injured when they do fall. I think Embiid has only a few good years left and will start to decline very early in his career due to injuries so thebest thing for him would be to stay as lean as possible for as long as he can.

Geez... the "Kobe is taller than Shaq" club has arrived yet again! Get over yourselves! Everyone knows that Shaq WAS taller until he started wearing the pink speedo underwear, so the photos just show the effects of the resulting growth-shrinking edemas. Why do we have to go over this AGAIN and AGAIN?!

But... back to reality.

KG was 6'12" in the photo. Embiid will be shorter than KG once he successfully plays a full season. He's only taller because he's spent so much time on his back recovering from injuries.

Joel. Is more skilled than Shaw. He should strive to keep his weight down and play like Kareem with a 3 point shot. Work on the hook, it will fit the modern NBA better and have a longer career
