Lol. Go ahead and compare Mitchell's rookie season to any season Haywood has played. Better pick one of his last 2 seasons though, as Mitchell blows all of his other seasons out of the water. Mitchell's rookie year was comparable to Haywood's best season out of 6. Haywood will also be coming back from a serious injury, so it's anybody's guess whether or not he'll ever be as good as his last season.

Haywood probably won't even be the next celtic picked here. That will be Horford.

Who is this Haywood you speak of?

Aldridge pretty easy, I have been voting him for the past few and do not understand how he has become so underrated and forgotten. Just because his style of play is more of a throwback doesn't mean he isn't a top 20 player.

He was a top 25 player for sure last season. But no one watches the Spurs.

Voted Aldridge. Think he and Al Horford as SUPER CLOSE as players.

If we assume Aldridge and Mitchell play on the same level this year as last I go with Aldridge.

I don't make that assumption. I see Aldridge trending down and Mitchell trending up.

My vote = Mitchell. I'll nominate Ingles. Ingles was #25 in RPM and played 31.5 min, so it's not just a low minute thing. I think he deserves to be nominated at this point.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Aldridge better not get picked here. It was only the Popovich system and their complete lack of a lead scorer that even made him look good. If he and Donovan switched teams, Mitchell would look like a young MJ and Aldridge would be indistinguishable from Derrick Favors.

Filthadelphia made a post a couple threads ago asking if people wanted him to keep going to 50 or not and yes had like 35 And1s while no had 0. I think people assume he’s gonna keep going.

If we do keep going I nominate Porter.

Would people really have Mitchell over Gordon Hayward for one season?

It's crazy that I literally had to go to JORDAN to find a complimentary SG comparison for Mitchell. He already shoots the ball better than a prime D-Wade and plays better D than a prime Kobe.

Absolutely. Hayward had a 3.06 RPM his last healthy season which was far and away a career high and there are still some questions whether he's going to recover to 100%. Mitchell had a 2.15 RPM as a rookie and he's improving at the speed of light. Mitchell the last 3 months of 2017/18 was already better than Hayward's ever been in his career. Don't get me wrong. I like Hayward this year, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he thrives in the Stevens system and has a better season, but if we're not predicting performance given their coach and are just picking a player for the season to a random team, I'm taking Donovan all day.

For next season? Absolutely.

I don't think Hayward is just going to bounce back 100% after such a devastating injury.
If Mitchell's off-dribble threes start going in at a higher rate he's going to be a phenom offensively for a long time .

OMG the hate for DeMarcus on here in crazy.

He's not a top 25 player? Hopefully, this is statically for the 18-19 season.

Cause if this is overall? That is nonsense.

It was tough for me to decide between Mitchell and Aldridge, but since we're projecting forward I preferred Mitchell due to age.
I think Bradley Beal and Otto Porter should be nominated for the next round.

Voted for Jrue. His playoff run with the Pels was really amazing. no doubt that Mitchell will be right there so I am not too mada if he is the pick.

I would nominate Beal next. Btw I know it's probably a small error because Booker was just added but he is both on the voting and the nominations list.

I always copy the entire post before I submit so I can paste it again in case it gets wiped out before I submit it. Or you can write it in something like Notepad beforehand for long-ass posts.

Yet again...Mitchell.

Sorry but there's no way I'd take a 33+ year old LMA who's game really is a throwback and will only continue to slow down over him.
