Is it me or are they starting to make too many jerseys these days?

I'm really into jersey design in the league, but i'm starting to agree with you.

So every team got their home (association) aways (icons) & alt's (statment) (diff names now cause of course). Same colors jerseys as usual with 2-3 teams redesigning every year like normal. Lakers white purple yellow, Clips white blue black, Heat white black red type typical jerseys.

Now they're doing these city edition uniforms & basically most teams, every year is getting a new one? Which is my issue. This is where teams are going with the random colors (like soccer style) Minny's blue & white throws in the Purple. Memphis navy to the MLK black & white. Miami's red & white to the Vice colors. This gives the team a chance to get creative. Which is cool to me. But why every year? 3 years from now it's gonna be so played out. Designs (which some say already) are wacky, their gonna asinine years from now. Especially since teams are only wearing these 5-8 times a year. Is it that important for a handful of games?

& Now even more confusing, i seen something about a Fashion edition jerseys? Where Playoff teams every year are getting new jersey? Idk any more about it though. Just seems like super overkill. We don't need 2 new jerseys every year + the classic jerseys ppl are most accustomed to.

Ideally it's be the home, away & alternate. & like every 3 years they'd change the city edition uni's. So for my Celtics we'd go white green, black, & after 3 years we'd change the gray ones.

Im not going to lie, I am ashamed of myself. When I first read the title I thought it meant the City Edition were honoring Tayshaun Prince. First thing I thought to myself was, "man did Tayshaun's one year really make that big of an impact". But ya that is my bad.

On to the actual subject, great idea honoring Prince and I think the jerseys look good.

They are sweet - possibly my new favourite non-Heat jersey. Hopefully it sells well and all other teams designers take notice.

Finally.

We finally have a jersey that everyone can agree is nice. Usually when a new jersey is unveiled all kinds of people complain or have mixed opinion.

Also, people need to stop complaining about variety of jerseys. What’s the big deal. It’s fun. You have a home and road jersey which are standard, and then all kinds of fun alternates every year and fresh takes.

Stop yelling at clouds.
