As a championship starved Raps fan of 24years, I would love for him not to play. As a competitor, basketball fan and a Raps fan that want to witness his team elevate themselves another level, I would absolutely love to see KD play and it be an all out war out there on the court. No excuses, no asterisks and no additional narratives. Just pure unadulterated championship playoff basketball.

Marcus Thompson is a Bay Area writer. Not surprised by this poor quality content

Marcus said all 150 media members were quiet and basically like :o when he walked by. As in, yep, I’m THAT guy and tonight is mine. Tyson, Jordan, Jackson type vibes.

I’m suddenly so, so hype for this game tonight.

We are at a point where you need multiple sources if a guy will play or not.

KD has nothing to lose and so much to gain by playing. If he comes back and sucks he has the injury excuse. Nobody will blame KD if the Warriors don't win the series because they are already on their way to losing without him. But if he can play well and they win KD gets all the credit.

The only way KD becomes a loser is if he injures himself further by coming back.

I really hope KD plays. He is going to be rusty as hell and yet the pathetic / desperate GSW will look to him to save them; Kawhi is going to swallow him up and it will be painfully obvious KD won't impact anything. That psychological letdown will be the final blow to the Warriors; I predict a Raps blowout.

"Go off tonight" SMH

I'm not celebrating early, but I noted before the series that the Raptors would have to answer the bright lights question right away, and Siakam blew the doors off the "greatest defender of all-time." Then the Warriors responded post game with a bunch of champ talk. But in game two they were all flopping around trying to influence the refs. Aside from Cousins that's uncharacteristic of their team. Seemed like warning sign #2 that they were worried about this series. Then game #3 Draymond gives a half-hearted "we're winning the next three" statement after the game. Klay hits a shot over a 6 foot guard and does the big balls dance. Raptors win going away and it's back to champ talk. Anything is possible, but a lot of the Warriors' and by extension the less credible media types have relied on this intimidation factor that has so far had zero effect on the team they're playing.

I predict a Raptors win, too, and if the lead gets out of hand KD will suddenly find that limp again.

if KD plays and has a bad game just make sure you don't bring up excuses like he's rusty or still injured

Yea #facts
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Durant hasn’t played in a month, hadn’t even been cleared for practice until this past weekend, and he is going to go off in game 5 of the Finals.

It would be a great story if it happens but I don’t think it does. He’s going to be limited due to his leg and won’t be himself.

That may be enough to get the Warriors the win but this isn’t going to be the MJ “flu game”.

Please keep mushing it people. Durant is gonna go for 50 at this rate with posts like this and all of the "0% chance he playsss!!!11" nonsense from the past 3 days.

Don't care if he plays or not; this is probably one of the cringiest quotes I've ever heard.

It's over for the raps, they have no idea what's going to hit them in next 3 games. Very ominous signs

Are we going to get hit by his crutches after re-injures himself?
