Well technically the OP doesn’t specify that criteria. The 2019-20 could simply refer to the season or time we are conducting this poll.

But I agree, Durant doesn’t belong in the top 10.

I think it’s reasonable to look at this poll as something like who’s the best right now and will be for the next 2-3 years. In which case I’d put Durant around 10-20th.

Seems like a really weird complaint on the thread where Anthony Davis is winning. Davis had a DRPM of 3.20 last season compared to 3.08 for George. George was a little better overall last season, but considering that Davis has is younger and has been better than George probably every season he’s been in the NBA until last year, he seems like the clear choice.

If the poll is literally titled “Top X 2019-2020” it’s nonsensical to include a player that is not going to play the entire season.

Worse RPM, less points/rebounds/assists (per game and per possession) on a worse team, and looked like Embiid’s bitch when they played H2H. Also doesn’t offer the promise of continued development like Embiid. They are similar enough stylistically to where I really don’t see an argument for Davis being better. PER? :dontknow:

At least Jokic is so different that reasonable arguments can be made in his favor.

Everyone gets to have a favorite player. When I was younger, Wes Chamberlain was one of my favorite Phillies, but he wasnt particularly great in hindsight. Getting voted 1st team NBA in 2015 by a panel of random people is hardly a selling point for better player on the court in 2020. Bringing it up kind of shows how few arguments there are to support his case. He's a B team star.
