Tatum is a bit over-rated. I think Brown is actually under-rated.

Not with Celtic fans. Brown is a solid 3 and D, not a future 5 time allstar or the next Kawhi Leonard.

Who tf said hes the next Kawahi Leonard?

Prime example. Everybody always has to go to one extreme or the other. Brown is better than just a "solid 3-D" and at his age certainly has more potential than that.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I don’t remember names, but the quote ‘why should we trade for Kawhi Leonard when you already have the next Kawhi Leonard’ in regards to Brown sticks out prominently.

It was more comparisons to jimmy butler than kawhi but some fans did say that and it was ridiculous then and now, however it was coming off his really great playoff run to the ECF- where his defense was really good and he was shooting the ball great and scoring well.

That just means you and I have different opinions about Brown’s ceiling. I won’t get into details, but he has several glaring weaknesses on offense that you need in order to be a goto scorer. I see a Trevor Ariza type of career and that’s not a slight on Brown.

Is that like thinking that a guy who doesn't know how to shoot a ball from more than 8 feet out is going to be a superstar?

Yeah, but he's not a particularly consistent defender or a good shooter so that label for him is tentative, to me.

I'm a big admirer of Tatum, but not of Brown.

By the same logic you can also ask why Kyrie ran away from LeBron?

But only if Jason Tatum was even half as good as Lebron James.

He never wanted to come to Boston. He grew up closer to NY. He's got his ring.

Playing with young unproven players on a team he never wanted to go to was probably his thinking. He'd be the biggest name had he remained in Boston and from the sounds of it, Boston may not have wanted him back anyway.

This is what I want to know. If Kyrie was 100% to blame for what happened last year why didn't Al stay since Kyrie was obviously gone?

He also ran away from Hayward, which I get because Hayward is awful.
