I’m guessing you don’t follow the hall of fame or their voting pattern’s over the years. Gasol is pretty close to a lock.

Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

If Gasol is a HOF then Ricky Rubio should be under consideration too. Rubio is only 28/29 and still has time to get a few more medals on the international stage.

I honestly posted out of impulse - I guess he is a lock. I just thought on the surface he shouldn't get in.

NBA Champ (as a role player)
NBA DPOY
2x all NBA selection
3x all star selection
2x Olympic silvers
other international achievements

Do you think he is a HoFer on his NBA achievements alone or even his international achievements alone or a combination of both?

You forgot a big one:

TWO TIME WORLD CHAMPION (2006 & 2019)
Seriously, you Americans live in your little own world, don't you? No wonder people want you to lose so badly.
And I'm not even going to mention the rest of medals he has won with Spain.
It is the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame, not the NBA HoF.

I'm actually surprised most of you don't think this is a given. His resume speaks for itself. He'll definitely be in all things considered

It's the Basketball Hall of Fame so, yes, easily.

I think the Gasols will be the second pair of brothers in the HoF, and the third pair of siblings.

Trivia: Which pairs are in already?

I'm guessing that the siblings are Reggie/Cheryl Miller.

2 World championships, 2 Silver medals and 1 bronze medal in olympics. Several medals in euro championships (including 2 golds) plus 1 allnba 1st team and a ring.

Enough

He will get in the HOF...He is an international player and has been successful at the international level and was very productive in the NBA....May not be 1st ballot but he is in.

I don´t think he cares in the slightest at this point, after winning a NBA ring and taking Spain to his second World Championship as a leader in the same year. He already had a damn fine career and 2019 is just the cherry on the cake (HoF or not). You could see him totally feeling it in the podium, actually, as he seemed the happiest man in the world.

* Not to mention he seals a legacy of his own with this one (I guess Pau has always cast a pretty long shadow on him).

Reggie and Cheryl as someone said earlier.

Definitely had to look up Al and Dick McGuire...no way I was going to guess that.

I have seen in Realgm forums that NFL,"Football" is apparently biggest league, sport in the world just because it dominate US.....

NBA is the best of the best players today but World Championship, Olympics is huge part too for history, Hall of Fame.

Marc Gasol is one of the most skilled, elit passning big, great defender. Just because he wasnt flashy playing in Memphis doesnt make less great. If he was American he would not be compared to Divac in this thread.

Kawhi wouldnt have historic, dominating playoffs if Gasol wasnt passning, defending the paint, shooting threes well. Gasol made Giannis,Embiid etc look very human.
