He will be somebody from the east between Embiid, Kemba, Giannis, Siakam, Lowry

LeBron, Embiid, Giannis, Kawhi, KAT, Davis

One of these guys depending on how the years goes.

Going to be hard to get past Giannis, he’s obviously going to put up monster numbers and there is no one on the Bucks that will take the spotlight off him.

Lebron? Seriously? He's still useful, but he has clearly regressed and is the 2nd option on his own team. How the hell is he going to be the MVP?
I'm sure there will be some challengers who are not listed in the poll.

Your opinion is about as half-assed as your username. LeBron is still at least on par with any player in the league.

Strange...

You don't usually see a "2nd option" put up the following stats:

26.5 points
7.5 rebounds
11 assists
1.5 steals
51/35/83 % shooting spits
31.7 PER
119 Offensive Rating
97 Defensive Rating
61% TS
32.1% Usage
.318 WS/48
9.3 OBPM
2.6 DBPM

You could argue equal 1st option like KD and Curry were but no chance he's the 2nd option and absolutely isn't the 2nd best player on that team this season to date.
He's quite clearly been as good as any player not named KAT or Kawhi so far.

Lol at “ he’s still useful”

I do think though lebron and AD hurt each other a lot in this mvp race. Really doubt either guy can win it

Imagine if someone had told you 1 year ago that even in a NBA forum poll, Luka Doncic would be one of the 3 front runners for the MVP prize .......just crazy stuff.
That just goes to show again that you must stay humble when it comes to predictions.

Anyway, this 2018 draft class is turning out to be legendary (through essentially 2 players of course but still).

LeBron is not as potent of a scorer as he used to be, and it will be hard for him to sustain even this level for the whole season. Triple doubles don't mean much to me, everybody gets them these days.

LeBron is leading the league in assists with 11.2, which is 1.5 more assists per game than second place. He's also averaging more points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals than he averaged his last championship season.

That's because the game has changed a lot even since his last championship. Teams are taking about 10 more threes per game today compared to then. LeBron is not getting better, the league is getting softer. If you handle the ball as much as LeBron does, it's easy to rack up assists. Ball hogs like Harden and Westbrook have led the league in assists recently aswell.

Too early in the season. I'll always back the incumbent until somebody does something to knock him off. So I'm going with Giannis until further notice.

Yeah, why are we acting like leading the league in assists is even good? Smh

Davis is a much better defender and rebounder than LeBron.

Lebron is a much better offensive player than Davis.

If the Lakers has the best record in the league, they might give MVP to Lebron and DPOY to davis.

Other than that, they will still votes from each other.

More points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals is somehow bad? Also best DRTG and DBPM of his career.

Davis and LeBron will cancel each other out. My guess would be between Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, and Doncic

LBJ has played great, but he doesn't need to be gunning for MVP. His minutes need to be WAY down, low 30's and he needs to let AD do the heavy lifting.

Vogel will need to protect him from himself and keep those minutes down, win or loss - he has unprecedented mileage.

Karl Anthony Towns was my frontrunner, and then he got into a fight with Joel Embiid. His numbers right now doesn't really separate themselves from the other candidates, but the game he got suspended in brought down his averages. Before that he was putting up:

32ppg, 13.3rpg, 5apg, 2.7spg, 2bpg on .659TS% shooting. On top of that he's doing all that on much improved defense. If he can keep that up while continuing to lead his team to wins then he'll be in the thick of the conversation.
