The first game of the season is completely meaningless regardless of the strength of the teams (recall Boston waxed the Decision Heat in their first game together and the Heat embarrassed them in the playoffs five months later). The Christmas game was close and could have gone either way. This should be a good battle between two teams at full strength. These are all things he said. An “excuse” would be if he said he was injured so he wouldn’t be giving his full effort.

As far as the Clippers not making “excuses”, have they even been asked about this game?

Except he didn't make excuses for Sunday even though he could've. Lebron went all out like it was a playoff game last night, and Clippers haven't played since Thursday. But come on man...Dudley is talking about Championships. You're talking about regular season games.

Technically he's correct. There is no rivalry between the Lakers and the Clippers from a historical perspective.

Maybe Clipper players don't talk a lot because they know their franchise has 0 rings.

And is currently in 2nd place behind the Lakers.

You want them to brag about winning 2 regular season games? They know better than that.

We both know if the Clippers win the Championship you will be talking trash. And so will they. That's how it works.
