Jordan's been swept and lost in 5 too. Does it not count if it's before the Finals? LeBron should get a goddamn medal just for taking that crap in 2007 and 2018 to the Finals

Jordan only played with Pippen.

He couldn't even make the playoffs in the West until he was gifted a top five player. Please.

Not that hard when you regularly play with multiple stars every year.

Must be pretty hard if Kawhi and the Clippers are at home after choking a 3-1 series lead to the same team that Bron and the Lakers just beat 4-1.

But keep going...

That's weird. I remember him playing with several all stars and a team that was a shot away from the ECF the year he sat out. Don't remember LeBron's former teams even making the playoffs when he left.

Lol tell that to Kawhi this year. Deep runs to the finals this year 9 times in 10 years is incredible. Few if any players other than LeBron would be able to sustain that.

People dogged the Lakers all season, questioning if they’d even make the playoffs. At some point you gotta just accept his greatness. After 17 seasons, why continue fighting it? 38/16/10 in the closeout game tonight.

In 2007 he was on a top 5 defense, and they didn't even beat one 50 win team on the way to the finals. He also was a top 3 seed. Oh and in the first round he played a Wizards team missing its two best players. That run isn't as impressive for me.

And in 2018 he still had Kevin Love, another all-star, in the East, against Derozoan/Lowry/Oladipo/Young Tatum.

Almost every year he made the finals, he had the most stacked team in the East. And this year his 2nd best player is the 2nd best player in the Western Conference playoffs.

My point is only that the "he gets all the credit for the wins" but if he loses we blame his lack of help is silly imo.

LeBron, 38-10
Duncan, 35-14
Wade, 22-9
Shaq, 33-14
Jordan, 30-13
Kareem, 37-16
Magic, 32-14
Durant, 21-10
Kobe, 33-16
Bill Russell 25-16
Bird, 22-17
Dr. J, 24-21

Others without 20+ closeout wins:

Curry, 19-9
Kawhi 17-10
Hakeem, 16-10
Wilt, 18-17
K. Malone, 19-24

This may be the dumbest takes ever. Lebron has been on better teams than almost everyone on that list of course he'll have good numbers. I'd take Jordan/Kobe over him anyday to close out a game.

He already holds records that are unbeatable. No one is going to touch his playoff scoring record for instance. There's already a huge gap between him and Jordan at #2. Like who is going to average ~30pts a game for 15 playoff runs including 10 to the Finals? That's basically impossible to top. But yeah, those gaps will only get larger.

No player in history could ever lead that roster to the playoff in the West (Ingram wasn't ready and lol at Lonzo)

In 2007 he was the only reason that team was a top 3 seed. You are using circular logic. That team was total garbage outside of LeBron and they did beat the Pistons, who won 53 games. That was the game LeBron scored like 25 straight points at the end. Talk about carrying a team.

That 2018 team was terrible and had no business beating Boston. LeBron had one of the greatest playoff runs in history and willed them to victory. Would have won game 1 of the Finals too and maybe turned that series a bit if not for bonehead JR Smith and a seriously questionable last minute call for Durant.

The Pistons had 53 wins in 2007....2018,the pacers had 48 wins, raptors with 59 and the celtics with 55....Love had been horrible in his playoffs outside of the series against the raptors.

That’s weird. That team was only in the series because Derek Harper was suspended for two games and was about to be down 0-3, if not for Kukoc.

I love to hate on Lebron but that was an unreal closing job. I'll give the man his due and something I said even last year, he is the best player on the planet still.
