VORP is value over replacement ie how many extra wins he was worth his team versus a replacement level player. Win shares is how much he contributed to every win as a percentage. BPM (Not DPM my bad) his is how much better his team did with him on/off the court expressed in pts per game.
In every case he was a negative or net zero player. The only stat where he was positive was winshares where he had a +3.8 percent.
And it isn't just how "deep" the Lakers bench is Jared Dudley had more playoff appearances then Waiters.
