Think you might be surprised on this one, tbh. In general, Gasol was a much better defender than Ibaka on the Raps. Ibaka looks like he should be the better defender, but he's got slower feet than people think. Defensively, he gets the Whiteside boost, where people think he's better on that end cause of a nice block here and there. And while he's decent at rim protecting, he too gets bullied by post players and has trouble sticking with guys on the perimeter.
Like i said, great pickup offensively, but he's average defensively at this point in his career, imo. Ill look up the stats when i have a chance, but last i remember, they said the same
