In spite of all the people laughing at the Clippers, they've picked up Kennard who is a clear improvement over Shamet if he's healthy and Ibaka who is quite similar impact wise to Harrell and possibly a better fit.

Not a bad offseason so far. Only big downside is the Morris overpay.

Great pickup Clips. Can't say I'm happy about this -- Ibaka is one of my favourite players -- but I'm happy he gets to contend for another title this year.

I'll take Ibaka at the same contact as Harrell any day. He can shoot, defends better, rebounds better, just an overall better fit.

Think you might be surprised on this one, tbh. In general, Gasol was a much better defender than Ibaka on the Raps. Ibaka looks like he should be the better defender, but he's got slower feet than people think. Defensively, he gets the Whiteside boost, where people think he's better on that end cause of a nice block here and there. And while he's decent at rim protecting, he too gets bullied by post players and has trouble sticking with guys on the perimeter.

Like i said, great pickup offensively, but he's average defensively at this point in his career, imo. Ill look up the stats when i have a chance, but last i remember, they said the same

The comparison is Harrell. When you need a stop in the playoffs who are you taking?

Well I know he's fallen off, but Harrell is not really much of a defensive player. Average defense is better than Harrell, especially in the post-season
