That poise. You see rookies make bad turnovers, lazy passes ect. He looked like a veterin making all the right plays.

THT has that drive, desire and work ethics plus physical tools to do something special.
The poise at 19/20 years old is uncommon. Vogel and the Lakers love this kid. He is going to get minutes and really shine this year.

It seems we always overhype a rookie from the G-League every 2 years or so, only to see them get waived or traded away to Washington Wizards for salary cap relief.

Re: Laker’s THT!!
THT has some real talent, LeBron's been high on him since the very moment the lakers drafted him.
He's only 6'2.5" without shoes (at combine) but he's got a 7'1" wingspan and an 8'8" standing reach. He's also 235 pounds. He can move his feet with the shiftiness and quickness and coordination of a point guard, but he's got the weight and standing reach of a good size wing or a power forward. This gives him awesome defensive potential as someone who can maybe guard some bigger post players and guard 1-4. He's got a nifty set of moves and he can move very well and he's shown good touch on his floaters and layups. He's got really good functional athleticism. He can get by people off the dribble, he can change directions, his frame and dexterity let him finish and absorb contact to finish. He seems to have a natural composure. He made some smart reads passing and handling the ball. He should get better and better as his jumper rounds into shape. I'm not sure what his ceiling is, but he seems like he can at the very least become a decent rotation player by the time the playoffs get here. And after that? Who knows. He passes the eye test. I see the instincts and natural creativity. When you get someone like that so late thats a big win. And he's learning from the best. Just another young, athletic, versatile body to throw out there for the lakers. If he's another reliable ball handler and passer and maybe scorer, that gives the lakers three or four off the dribble options.

THT is great, fun player. I am extremely anxious to watch him grow. But there is only one GOAT, that’s Caruso. He’s above the shade you are trying to throw at him.

I was pretty high on Svi Myhkhailiuk

THT honestly looks legit as a ball handling point-forward SO FAR though, so I’m cautiously optimistic. Hyping our players is what we do

Not explosive though so ceiling is limited.
I mean as a second-round pick, as long as THT develops into a guy who can play 15-ish minutes during a playoff game and not cost the team the game, then he's a success in my book. I don't think anyone should expect anything more than that from a player who was picked later in the draft.
Tell that to Nikola Jokic

I was pretty high on Svi Myhkhailiuk, but never understood those hyping Mo Wagner and Thomas Bryant.

i remember i was low on thomas bryant, but after going to wash and getting mins and contributing he's a lot better than kuzma

Being able to play defense is what can give THT consistent minutes this year. Laker's backcourt is crowded

Re: Laker’s THT!!
Some people are insane hyping him up with star potential. My goal for THT, can you be a plus defender and over take kuzma minutes? With his length I think he can and that's where my hype lies. Our team has plenty of offensive punch this year, where the minutes will be earned are on the defensive end.

What I liked was his aggressiveness and ability to create his own shot. But he’s far from a finished product. Let’s pump the breaks. He won’t get significant minutes unless there’s massive injuries

As a Lakers Fan, I can tell you we only have two types of home-grown players:
-Those that play really well once they leave the lakers.
-And those that are supposed to play well and never do!
