Yeah, the Cavs are thrilled with him so far. In practice he has looked very good as well. Cavalier players were saying they expected him to come in with a broken shot, but it wasn't broken at all. He is exactly what Cleveland needed--a hard working/defensive-minded wing. The offense he has displayed is a surprise.

I figured after watching Jimmy Butler and Kawhi develop front offices would be more into Okoro. Although there's obviously the counters of Stanley Johnson and Justice Winslow. Really excited to see how good he can be, but I think a Josh Howard level player is the low-level outcome, and that is pretty good.

You willing to make that bet?
No, but I think he'll be an allstar at some point. I remember everyone saying DLo was trash when he was the youngest player in the league.

I'm sure you probably know better than every scout in the league tho.

I don't need to know better than any scouts, only better than you. Considering you won't take that bet, looks like I already do.

THT is not a rookie. Don’t redirect me here.

So this really smart mod closes the THT thread to force people to post into the Rookie Watch thread...when he isn’t even ROY eligible???

That’s a suspect decision. Hey mod, do better.

Yeah he is but it's a pretty easy mistake to make since he barely played last season. Just PM the mod if you have an issue. No point in being "really smart" about it.

Deni looked fantastic, they'll bring him along slowly as far as the playmaking goes, and probably only gonna get into that role truly once Beal and/or Westbrook has been traded, but that will probably do him wonders in the long run. He can work on his spot up shooting until, and maybe playmake some with the second unit. Really, really good prospect.

Nate Hinton with a solid 8/8r/4a, he was undrafted. Excited to see him tonight again

Obi struggled pretty badly, the shot was off.. Not worried at all. Just gotta hit his shots and let the game slow down for him. Maybe a few dunks will get him in his element

safe to say that the last draft is not as bad as many people were complaining about. Just because there is no clear cut number 1 doesn't mean there aren't many solid finds in this draft. Its going to be fun following the 10-20 players most of us fell in love with. Okoro surprising me thought it would take him some time. Happy for Poku, Anthony, Deni already.

Nice pick. I think the Suns would have taken him if he got to them. There were rumors they were planning on taking someone rumored to drop (and obviously they didnt take Haliburton - or Vassell for that matter). And they needed a 4.

Apparently they were also high on Jalen Smith as well to take him over Haliburton or Vassell.

Really like Okoro. I thought he would go around 7th-9th.

I also liked LaMelo’s passing, rebounding, and tempo. Hopefully his shot follows.

Deni will be good for sure.

Halliburton looked good the other night.

He was my favorite prospect early on during the college season but then just fell off efficient wise.

I dont think alot of people realize he can play two way ball.

Me too. Kid just looks like he's a basketball player. Here's hoping he's Marquis Daniels 2.0.

Going to stroke my own ego here, I loved Hinton pre-draft.

babyjax13 wrote:Also, I absolutely love Nate Hinton, I'd draft him at 23 but most mocks have him as a UDFA. I really, really want us to get a second round pick and grab him. He fits our team so well, he's got that Jimmy Butler attitude...I really think his upside is the best perimeter defender in the league. With the success of Lu Dort and Terence Davis, I don't know how he is being overlooked.

I know I'll be wrong on guys, but I'd like to be right on Hinton because he plays so hard, and I love that, it's so entertaining.
