This explains why he has such a short wingspan.

His dad is 7’3” but his mom is tiny.

Hugely under-rated, Has impacted with just being efficient, skilled, Ok defensively, can slot in the 4/5 and do ok, makes the right pass.

I think in the right situation he's that absolute third superstar in a team

People forget in the Presti draft pick jerk fest that Presti traded him for a potential one year rental of George (not even talking about Oladipo). On a rookie contract

I followed him last year because I had him on my fantasy team. He's an absolute monster both for fantasy basketball and in real life. Really underrated and ultra skilled. I actually think he is a better player than Jokic (or at least as good).

I don’t think anyone has forgotten that.

Domantas is not even nominated after the last poll, which means he was unofficially not even TOP35 here (I"m nominated him few times, so I remembered such detail).

There is 3 point-centers in NBA right now, Jokic, Adebayo, and Sabonis. Jokic who started this trend was also recognized first, while for young Adebayo value recognition is very helpful that he reached NBA final this year. So only Sabonis is still under the radar.

Point-centers are rare animals which always contribute better to their teams than their row numbers suggest.

Yeah I saw u nominating him, so commends to you. Didn't notice anyone else doing that besides myself. He should be top 30 with no much argument to be had as of now. Top 20 not sure, we can talk about that after the season.

I mentioned it in some reg season prediction:
Sabonis is an absolute beast and by far the most valuable player for the pacers. They go as far as he goes.

Well even last year without Sabonis on the floor the Pacers were a net negative team for the season. That tells you all you need to know who's their most important player.

I remember in the off-season here, someone on the trade board called Sabonis an "empty stats player".

What? How are they empty stats when he is the best player on a team that ended the season #4 in the conference?

Also, I'm in the minority of this camp, but as someone who has watched Domas play a lot, he is a better 4 than he is a 5.

I thought Domantas would be good. But not this good.

The Paul George trade was looked at as a joke. But OKC actually traded away 2 allstars.

Presti got Oladipo and Domantas for Ibaka, which was a massive heist in itself. Presti is the one who acquires all of this talent in the first place.

He’s like a self-made millionaire who makes wild and risky investments. You can question his decisions, but ultimately he’s spending his own money.

I’ve been knowing that he is the Pacers best player, it was apparent to me in his last season backing up Thad. The way he competes reminds me of Ron Artest. This tenacious mentality is why he thrives.

Sabonis is top 10 big man today and all star with reason. It is just said his father never came to Nba in his prime before multiple acl-s. Aryvdas was Embiid's size, Jokic passing and shooting ability and prime Ibaka athleticism. He was in same tier as Olajuwon and Ewing.

can we please stop throwing out top ___ without legit argument? he is playing well, but there arent 20 guys you'd rank above him? really?? in no particular order

1. giannis
2. luka
3. butler
4. davis
5. lebron
6. mitchell
7. jokic
8. kawhi
9. harden
10. paul george
11. chris paul
12. westbrook
13. durant
14. irving
15. gobert
16. zion
17. dame
18. curry
19. embiid
20. tatum

that's at minimum.. there are probably a bunch more i can name i'd rather pick over sabonis. ie booker, towns, trae, gobert, beal

so no sabonis is not top 20 player. he can be top 50 player.. which isnt a slight it just means after the 30, 31-50 depends on other factors... and he's somewhere in there. he can be a top 10-15 big man if that's what you want to say..

Jokic is a poor mans Domantas.
