Pelicans then Celtics
Zion is super intriguing. Personally think these mismatch players with glaring holes need innovative offensive coaches more than defensive coaches. Especially were development is concerned. Point Zion is great and would go in even further in that direction. Especially with scorers around him. More Draymond than anything if you to me. Eventually we get to the point his skillset isn’t enough but who knows his post game might be elite and it’s more than worth it getting to that point. Not to mention the picks. By god the picks. You could be apart of a future dynasty…if your GM is worth his salt.

Tatum/Brown is a hell of a duo and potential top 5 defense waiting to happen again. They lack a point like the Clippers but that’s for later. Right now they can get you a top 4 seeding if given a cast.

Magic would be my third. Young high potential cast. Upcoming good/great pick. Zero expectations other than delusional fans and maybe whatever hype the picked player brings in. Everywhere else has its positives and warts but most of all expectations no one can really meet. Making the playoffs yearly gets stale to fanatics. Media is dumb like extremely dumb. Being good isn’t enough. I disagree but it is what it is.

As a coach you have to love the fact that this team is rebuilding and has some great pieces and you get to set that foundation.

Go in there, draft Jalen Green @ #3, and focus the offense around him.

Set the tone of the team, bring in a new culture.

All these other teams are treadmill level imo, except maybe the Celtics

Orlando's situation is indeed intriguing but not for their next coach imo. Seems like whoever gets these kinds of coaching gigs is inevitably the guy that steers them through years of growing pains only to get canned if/when the talent is finally ready to take the next step

It's a Skiles type guy. Develop the team and establish a culture... burnout and let the next guy take over... I know the guy they need for 2-3 years but he is currently coaching the Knicks. Actually Mark Jackson would be the guy for that but I don't think he is going to be a head coach again.

Magic have a very good chance of having two great picks this year. their pick and the #8 Bulls pick if the Bulls don't land top 4. Thats a nice boost in a deep draft. just for giggles say they get the #2 and the #8 this year... Not too bad for a reboot.

Pelicans because Zion will be the best player in the NBA for years under the right coach. People just haven’t figured it out yet

with Dannys history of going above and beyond to make sure everyone knows how great he is, the fact that he quit tells me **** is definitely hitting the fan in Boston and he wants to get out with his "reputation" intact. I think they are in much worse shape than people even realize. Tatum and/or Jaylen want out and Danny isn't up to dealing with it or doing another rebuild

Bruh didn’t even realize they got a pick in the Vuc deal. That’s a hell of a situation to walk into. I don’t know but it might jump the Celtics situation simply because of the unknown. But realistically getting someone as good as either Tatum/Brown is a lottery, let alone them developing in a timely manner to give that coach a chance or keep Fultz/Isaac/Bamba/Carter Jr. this could be a great core if things fall right.

Clearly Boston or NO based on talent alone. If your in more of a win now mode and want the youngest talent that have proven them selfs in the league its Boston, but their you also have the highest expectations and also the biggest spotlight. While NO has possibly one of the best young duos in the league with Zion/Igram but might be far away from being a real playoff type team in the WEST.

Yeah they got the Bulls 2021 and 2023 FRP in the deal. They are top 4 protected and the Bulls have 20% chance of it going top 4. if not it is top 3 protected next year. So they have 80% chance of 2 top eight picks this year. They also got rid of players that weren't going to move the needle (They are quality players but they were getting you nowhere). They also have cap room to add something or even make a trade. Its a fairly good rebuild situation. They have lots of holes to fill still though. They could add two good guards, or like Cade and Jalen Johnson etc... It will be interesting, The draft lottery means more to them than any other team this year.

Celtics for me. Tatum and Brown are way more developed than the Pelicans and play in an easier conference

Pelicans are going to be under pressure to make the playoffs immediately. They just fired SVG for little reason, the next coach is going to have a short leash.
