In a re-draft scenario I’m taking…

Post#21 » by RoyceDa59 » Thu Oct 7, 2021 10:48 am

I do think we witnessed one of the best drafts of the decade. I’m pretty confident about 8 all star players will emerge when all said and done.

I don’t care what y’all say. If the draft was today, that’s the order. It don’t matter what next few picks are. Those are 3 best players.
I agree. Check this out;

In the Pistons first preseason game, Cade Cunningham had;

0 points
0 rebounds
0 assists
0 blocks

My thoughts on this class are not drastically different than they were on draft night, and obviously it’s way too early for a re-draft. Some initial reactions though:

- I’m a little less confident in Cade than I was a few months ago, partly due to a legitimate height difference (which takes away his “big wing” potential) and also flashing some of the same issues he had at OKST. None of the guys drafted below him have totally popped (though they’ve been fine) so I still think Cade would go #1 in a redraft at this point
- Trey Murphy has been probably the biggest positive surprise so far, he looks like a totally legit shooter. I had him as a late-lotto guy on draft night, that’s about where I’d have him now. Would certainly go above Kispert
- Some guys I thought went a little high (Barnes, Giddey, Mitchell, Primo) look fine for where they were drafted so far
- Didn’t like the Zhaire Williams or Tre Mann picks at the time, still don’t (though Williams was a known project)
- Thought Sengun fell too far on draft night and still think that. He hasn’t been incredible but maybe OKC decides to just take him at 16
- BJ Boston and Jared Butler would go in the first round in a redraft

Dumb thread. These guys are like 20 yrs old and only on the start of their learning curve. Its hard to predict where they will end up.

Tyreke Evans was 2010 NBA ROY despite being in a draft that featured James Harden and Steph Curry.

"Re-Drafts" should be saved for a minimum of 3 yrs after a draft.

In a re-thinking of my thread clicking decision, I select:

1. Whatever other thread is on the first page of the general board right now.
2. That thread from a few years ago, creating dog and cat names out of nba player names. Time to update my line-up by adding Kristaps Pooch-zingis and Scottie Barks.
3. still not this thread.

Its a discussion forum. If people are posting hot take threads and cluttering the board with nonsense, its ok to call it out.

If the hot take doesn't get him, the name-calling will.

I do think it's dumb for this now lol but I'm also confident that Trey Murphy will be better than the 17th best player from this class.

Can we at least wait until they get SOME regular season games into it before re-litigating the most recent draft? :noway:

Or just wait like 3-4 years.

You’re not calling anything out. You’ve posted twice in a “dumb thread”. GTFO.
