IT'S LIKELY: Bronny James is 18 and short (about 6'1/2" barefoot) so his size+skills won't make him a real nba player

Making the NBA is hard. If he tops out as a D1 player that's nothing to scoff at. It'd honestly be more fun to see him play 4 years in college, and hopefully develop along the way.

Wow you sound hurt people aren't joining in on your "official" declaration that a 17 year old is definitely not making the NBA. He has time to develop and besides that he's Bron's kid, you really think no team is willing to throw a second round pick at him?

But....but...but.... he's been following him since "he was 9 or so"! And his screen name has "lebron" in it!

I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to question his scouting ability, even if it comes with absolutely no credentials whatsoever.

Seriously though, people should just let the kid be a kid.

he'll be in the league if he wants, and I think he'd be a good player with his dad coaching him. he's not gonna fill his dad's shoes but if the NBA is what he wants and he's at peace with that, he'll be drafted

Men don't stop growing until 24 refers to overall growth, not height. Obviously, there will be exceptions. Overall, the average male growth past 17 is 3/4 of an inch. Also, there's no such thing as a growth spurt. Most of the times, growth is linear. He has been this height for the past 2 years or so

Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine would disagree -

So in your own words what we have here is a person who has 0 knowledge of medicine saying stuff.

No offense to the kid, but I'd rather some poor kid or kid who didn't have every advantage imaginable make it anyway tbh.

That Lebron's grandchildren will likely never need to work a day in their life... I hope the kid has a solid D1 career, goes 4 years, gets a great education, goes and gets a masters in business somewhere and then helps his dad manage his asset empire... he doesn't need the NBA.

Reminds me of that scene in Creed when the trainer is trying to tell Adonis that he hasn't struggled so he doesn't have the fire to make it the way the others that have do. Creed begins to KO those that supposedly struggled more than him. All of that stuff is irrelevant when it comes to making it to the peak of a sport.

If you're not a switchable 6'8" three point shooter you might as well be a ball boy in Today's League
6'3 ballboy? Yeah, maybe in a rec league.

Try 6'5 for an NBA ballboy.

Does the OP not realize growth can continue until 21 or in some cases even longer? 6'3" without shoes means 6'4" or more in shoes. How the hell is that not NBA size at the PG position at least?

Isn't he a guard? 6'3" without shoes seems fine. And as others have already mentioned, it's very likely that he isn't done growing.

It's not irrelevant, it's the opposite, actually.

Talk about a premature thread.

Also, that's more than enough size to make the NBA

For info on a forum that actually talks Fantasy sports and not spammed with soliciting leagues, PM me. The more the merrier !

Who cares.

The likelihood him him making the NBA is very small even with the genetics, resources, opportunities etc. that he has.

Most kids of former NBA players don't make the NBA.

There are only 400 or so NBA players.

There are 20 or so second generation NBA players in the league right now.

Everyone is different. I grew maybe another inch after the age of 14 and was done growing by the age of 16. My brother hit his growth spurt at 16 and wasn't done growing until 18.
