If by growing in favor you mean Simmons’ value being shot to all hell with no indication it will get better, sure

I'm fully against this player empowerement era but the way the sixers are handling this situation is plain stupid and so out of the realm of reality and very different to how the previous teams handled these diva superstars demanding out (Butler, Davis, Harden etc.).

Teammates kept saying it wasn't weird or awkward at all because they are all adults. They're now discovering one of them is in fact not an adult.

it was on windhorsts or lowe's espn pod, a guest opined that simmons wiil play, get his money, then be disruptive and force philly into an uncompromising position

Worth a try. I mean, he wants to play in actual games and put forth a half ass effort, then he'll be suspended again for "conduct detrimental to the team". That's the beauty of that phrase: it's so open for interpretation and vague that it's quite useful in different ways.

You put forth a half ass effort, you get suspended and don't get paid the next game. The Sixers can easily take this one game at a time the whole season.
