He won’t be a star until he gets to the playoffs

Maybe my favourite player in the NBA. Not sure what it is but I love this kid! Hope he becomes a superstar. He seems to be well on his way.

Love the mentality of some of these new kids coming into the league. Hopefully the stink of Lebron will be a thing of the past

He has legit been ascending into stardom since post AS break last season.

He’s gonna to be a good player. But I don’t see top 10 type of player. Maybe top 20-25

Handles needs to improve. They played Houston. Things appear good when you play bad teams.

Problem with Minnesota is they got a lot of offensive weapons. They need veterans who can play defensive tie the team together. That’s why they desperately trying to get Simmons without depleting their roster. Their core is young.

Gen Z kids tend to be a lot more chill and easy going. And I say this as a Millennial who has two Gen Z younger siblings.

They have Patrick Beverly and Taurean Prince as veterans who tie the team together [as you put]. They also have Okogie and McDaniels who are terrific defenders.

The stink of trying to improve every season? Hopefully these kids have the work ethic and drive of LeBron.

I'm referring to Lebron's entitled, narcissistic mentality. The media darling who can do no wrong

These kids are out with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove and aren't entitled whatsoever

I've been ready for the Lebron/Durant era of stacking the deck to make it easy to be over for a long time. We're almost there thankfully.

So you're saying Jimmy Butler would've taken the Wolves to the playoffs without Towns? And if the Wolves get to the playoffs this season it'll be cause of Edwards? I think you're underrating Towns quite a bit.

He's not under rating Towns. In the five seasons he's been the lead dog abd clear cut star player on the team we average 27.5 per season. He's and empty stats guy just like Kevin Love.Doesn't mean he's a terrible player but clearly isn't the superstar he's made put to be and can't be a number one guy of your franchise.

He's a 2nd or 3rd best player on a title contending or winning team.Edwards is clearly the franchise player and hopefully that star for the Wolves now.

Why does Towns get held to this standard? When other top 15-25 level players do not? Meaning, other like players (and this is a vey long list) don’t lead their teams to playoffs until they hit prime years AND finally get a playoff level roster around them. Butler shouldn’t be used to discredit Towns, but confirm that with actual playoff level player(s), he will get to playoffs.

No doubt Towns is not a LeBron or Giannis who can single handed lead a bum roster to the playoffs.

Wiggins used to be compared/grouped with Towns. And now Russell is.

It's a disservice to Towns.

That's entirely irrelevant to what I wrote.

Whether the Wolves made/miss the playoffs can still be a knock on Towns... without having him grouped with third-tier players like Wiggins or Russell who are not even close to as good or proven or consistent as he is. Pick a stat, any stat. Basic or advanced. Volume or efficiency. On/Off court. Anything. When EVERY ONE favors one guy so overwhelmingly, maybe it's time for any trite comparisons to end...

In fact, maybe assuming a guy like Wiggins was even remotely close to Towns and was a viable comparison and a clearcut 2nd option on a team is a big part of the reason the Wolves missed the playoffs every year.

[Note: Wolves fans have seen this "he's a loser with empty stats" narrative before. Kevin Love, obviously. But also Kevin Garnett. It's mind-boggling that the franchise's clear three best players all get tagged with the same lazy narratives. Maybe there's something beyond just them being "empty stat" guys that has made the Wolves the worst franchise in NBA history???]

he's one of the best SG athletes we've had in a long, long time. great hops with one or two feet, quickness, speed, acceleration and deceleration. big and strong too. people are saying he's the promise of wiggins fulfilled, but i personally never saw him to be an elite all-around basketball athlete.

Edwards is gonna be a problem for sure. Minny has a legit franchise player there, no question.

He is a good player already (if he starts to pkay like the second half of past season), and has otherwordly potential, maybe he will be better than Mitchell (i'm not high on Mitchell though).

But, he still shouldnt have been picked before Lamelo

"You need a timeout" is shades of Larry Bird trash talk.

Wolves are a good sleeper team for the playoffs this year. They have talent.
