Nah. Luka is trash. Guy cares more about his boxscore than winning games.

Booker is incredibly overrated, he's not a top-10 player, maybe not top-15

He is much slower and less athletic than all of those guys and is still able to devastate. Once he matures a bit and starts taking his body more seriously, it will be something to see.

He’s more athletic than Trae Young and probably comparable to Tatum.

Does Luka have a teammate anywhere close to Jaylen Brown, Chris Paul/Ayton, John Collins/Capela? Even JJJ is better than anyone on the Mavs roster.

Mavs have done a terrible job building around Luka. I understand the swing they took with Porzingis but he has clearly not worked out.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Hell no.

Ja Morant is the only guy among this group who has had a really strong start to this season.

I get that Luka is struggling but it doesn't make a lot of sense to bring up Tatum, Booker, and Trae Young because they have all been playing below the level that we'd expect out of players of their caliber as well.

Trae Young is very athletic. He isn't a high flyer but he has incredible quickness and stop start ability which is why he's able to blow by people so easily. It's the main way in which he is similar to Steph Curry, both of them have the ability to shake their defender and get an open shot without much difficulty despite not being insane athletes from a traditional sense because they're both so lightning quick.

Lead his team to the Euroleague title, was one of the best players in Eurobasket 2017 as Slovenia won gold, Lead Slovenia to top 4 finish in their first ever Olympics, 2 NBA playoff series to 7 games where the other team was heavily favoured...

Your take is trash

I think Young and Morant are more likely to lead a team to the championship than Doncic is.
They seem to understand the game better than Doncic, and make their teammates better.
Tatum and Doncic are lacking intellectually.

First part, i wouldn't disagree, like you said, it's your opinion. But after that, everything else you said makes absolutely no sense at all because you presented it like it's a fact. And the worse part is, you can't even back that up with any statistic.

Eh - some people talk without having any knowledge. Some of us were following Doncic since he was 15.

I was playing with him in each 2K 2 years prior to his draft.

No need to call the take trash when it came from a garbage can of a brain.

Tatum and Booker don't belong in the same conversation as Luka. Morant, we'll need to wait and see how this hot start plays out over time, and Trae is the closest but still behind. It's still Luka by a good margin right now.

While Ja has been amazing so far, its just a handful of games. Just as the slower start for Luka is just a handful of games. It would be foolish for this season to be the gauge of who the better player is, right? So if we are looking at complete body of work, no one should even blink before Luka Doncic pops into your head

Nobody cares about what he does in second rate leagues. He isn't winning anything until he stops hogging the ball and starts playing some defense. Lik I said, he's the most overrated player in the league.

I think they are all playing better ATM.

Booker is barely even value on the floor, trending towards negative value even.

Tatum doesn't play defense anymore.

Trae Young is playing slightly better but not all that much.

Ja is killing it and probably the only one who can reach normal Doncic heights but he needs to improve his defense badly.

Luka is still the best out of the group followed closely by Trae.

Tatum

Morant
Booker

Luka is definitely not more athletic than Trae. That being said Luka is still slightly better bc hes 6'7 and not far off skillwise from Trae.

Being 6’7 and that strong, with that coordination and being able to decelerate like that. Luka is a much better athlete than Trae. Height matters when discussing athleticism on a basketball court.
